Patron-only Q&A

Hi Nicabar! Sorry for the delay... I just moved to a new country! It's funny how clarifying a question enough to ask it can sometimes immediately lead to answering it. :D Honestly, most of my work isn't done through emails-- we use Slack at work. But if I do have to process something, you nailed it already! I'm a fan of Readwise, so I do just send it to Readwise and highlight it that way. :) It seems like we're already doing the same thing! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Hi Alena! Sorry for the delay... I just moved to a new country! Unfortunately, this can't be done through a workspace. I wish it could-- I would use it too! I do have a workaround I use though. I decided to just assign hotkeys to my daily note. I use CMD+SHIFT+K. That always takes me to today's note. (CMD+SHIFT-J is yesterday and CMD+SHIFT+L is tomorrow too.) I did this using the Periodic Notes plugin. Maybe that will work for you too! I think the hotkeys might answer your second question as well, but I do have the calendar set so that clicking a date on it will open the corresponding daily note. I think it might be the Periodic Notes plugin that does that.

Love your content 🙏UPDATE: Sometimes I think the act of putting a question out there yields an answer from the cosmos. I use missive as my email client, and it seems Readwise highlights work 100% for my purpose, but still curious how you process emails in general.

Hi Nicole, I'd like to know how to set up my workspace in Obsidian. I want to see my daily and weekly note every day I open Obsidian. But what happens is that, let's say, I saved my workspace on 1.6.2022 with the daily and weekly note. But when I open the workspace 5.6.2022 it still shows 1.6. Is there a way how to deal with it? And one more question. Is there a way how to open a daily note in another pane from the calendar? It's quite annoying that I always have to search the note in the list on the left and then open it in another pane. It would be much more comfortable If I'm able to open it right from the calendar on the right. Thanks for any tips :)
