REVIEW UPDATE 02-10-21
Added 2021-02-10 14:00:05 +0000 UTCHere's the latest update on the next Boots To Reboots episode. I'll be taking a look at one of my favorite films, John Carpenter's THE THING.
I've put this one off for years because I want to get it right and also because there is A LOT to talk about. There's the novella WHO GOES THERE? that inspired the movies, the original 1951 film THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, Carpenter's remake and then the 2011 prequel also simply titled THE THING. Plus, all the popular fan theories to discuss and debunk.
Right now the rough draft of the script is 22 pages. That's the longest script for an episode I have ever written and I'm currently trying to whittle it down and fine tune it.
While THE THING is still gonna take some time to shoot and edit, I should have a Maniacal Cinephile review up later this weekend discussing a new release.
