Random: Taha “only uses one knife”. So what is the main pan each of you use? Also, there is a theme. Taha sticks to what he likes. Be it soup or knives.

Lyndsey L. Werner

Several questions: 1. Was this episode inspired on what Melissa mentioned back in the podcast episode 17 (new Patreon member here and was catching up on podcast episodes!) 2. What have been Taha and Sabrina’s takeaway from this experience? Have they gotten new knives? Have Taha started to use other knife types? 3. Can we do a re-do of the knife usage contest? Preferably with sharper knives? 😅 4. Now that Melissa has a new knife, what has changed in the food preparation process? (Or, referencing back to podcast episode 17 and Taha, have you been able to prepare food faster?) 5. And what about maintenance of the knife?

Kim Ho

are there any other kitchen items you are now considering investing in too?

kelsey

can we get a knife sharpening tutorial as either a sequel or a patreon exclusive 👀 (also sabrina deserved more recognition in that cutting challenge 😔)

Claire Lin

Melissa, what are you thoughts on Japanese vs Western knives now that you've had a chance to extensively use them?

Richard Tang

Hey guys, I loved the video. I know certain types of knives are better for certain type of tasks. For a regular person how many and what kind of knives do you think they need to have?

Pablo Rodriguez

Melissa: knives are only the first rabbit hole to go down. Are you ready to start part two: knife sharpening? It's incredibly satisfying to bring a knife to a frighteningly sharp edge. If so, Kyle Noseworthy is a nice Canadian knife maker and YouTuber who might be willing to talk you through it.
