We ate too much pasta and forgot to post this! Leave any questions you have about this video in the comments and we'll answer it in the aftershow :)

What the heck did Mussolini have against pasta?? Also, do you guys have any specific video goals that you're building towards (either as a group or separately), or is this more a seat-of-your-pants type thing? (for example maybe you always wanted to make a wildlife documentary or something on a particular underrepresented cause you feel strongly about)

Sam Parsons

I love this! I wasn’t expecting it to be a form of artwork, but it makes perfect sense! What other forms of art do you think were mainly for women that have largely stopped being considered artwork? (My first thought was hair stylings, even though it’s very much an art form.) Do you think you’ll release an Answer In Progress cookbook some day? For the sake of this question, “interperate cookbook” as loosely as you’d like. (Mainly for Melissa, but also Sabrina’s AI recipes, and maybe Taha’s tomato soup? Though I assume Taha’s is canned, but I wanted to include him.) I have actually always preferred dry pasta and my mom always insisted that fresh pasta was better so I was blown away learning about the regional differences and why they have such a different texture. (Slight side note: Hi Melissa! I hate beans as much as your brother and I want to like them, any tips? [Seriously, I don’t even like hummus. I think it’s the texture of beans that gets me, but it’s hard to say for sure.]) (Also for Melissa. Do you think you’ll ever do an ep on food preservation? I don’t know why that question popped into my head but it did…)

Seriously though, The last video had Melissa sitting in cold water and this video had her cooking with boiling water. Should we expect a complete "Goldilocks" Melissa water trilogy?

Too late! I had a question 3 days ago when I was the video on YouTube, but I can't remember what it is.

I LOVE PASTA That being said, did you guys thought about the origins of paste beyond Italy, I always assumed it was related to asian noodles. Also, I love the concept of tricking Melissa into cooking a lot of pasta shapes but I am curious about to what extent was it real, I want to believe that Melissa got tricked into a rabbit hole by Sabrina.

Pablo Rodriguez

this is one of my favorite videos! 🥹 when you plan your videos, do you film your experience on the fly, without knowing what the outcome of the video is going to be? (Eg. What if you couldn’t find the answer to why there are 1300 pasta shapes). Thank you!

Rachel How

what's wrong with penne????

Adrian

How many days do you think you can eat pasta until you are sick of it? (It doesn't have to be the same dish as long as it has pasta)

Judith

How much pasta is too much pasta?

The Geco NextDoor

why so much penne hate??

I loved the framing of creating the shapes as women expressing themselves (as they always have). Do you think that some shapes, like farfalle in particular, were in fact created as fun shapes for the kids, like an original artisanal take on dino-ghetties?

David F

so, from "1300" to 50 shapes (i know i've oversimplified my read of the video aaa) has the thought of making a pasta terminology flowchart ever invaded your mind(s)?

STUAAAAAAAAAART

I was wondering which one of you came up with this video. It’s framed like Sabrina’s video with support from Melissa but conceptually it seems much more up Melissa’s alley. Liked the collaborative spirit tho, very Group-projecty
