- Create and edit volume envelopes
- Loop & sustain volume envelopes
- Copy/paste envelopes
When you’re first starting out, the easiest way to find expression in a sound is by playing with volume envelopes.
In this video you’ll notice that most of the time, I’m playing the note on the keyboard while moving the envelope points. The problem with this workflow is that it’s not connected with any actual music composition. I’d also recommend trying to write something first, THEN playing with the envelope. You’ll use both in reality, but you’ll probably save time if you get to experimenting with actual music more quickly.

- Command+Option+I: instrument editor
- END – Jump to last row
- HOME – Jump to first row
- Shift+Cursor keys - Extend block
- Cmd+C – Copy selection
- Cmd+V – Copy paste
- The key below ESC: Enter key-off - (“1” also works)
