Sheet music and project files attached!
Thanks to Brian, who requested hearing some music from another tracker. Working on this made me realize how much I missed working in MilkyTracker. It’s much more complex, especially compared to Pico-8, but once you understand the interface, controls, flow, it’s alot of fun.
One of my favourite things about MT is not needing the mouse. Sometimes you can go many minutes without touching it - there’s a keyboard shortcut for just about everything. I’ve arranged and written many hours of music in MT and I STILL don’t know all the shortcuts!
For Guile’s Theme, because MT is more complex than Pico-8, I needed to set some boundaries for myself. Otherwise this would have taken all week to input and arrange. These structures included:
Re: the sheet music, you may or may not find it helpful. Producing sheet music is an art in itself and depends on the context in which it’s going to be used. The attached PDF is more of a condensed score. I tried transcribing and inputting as many parts as possible, so it’s not very good for reading at the piano. But it’s PERFECT to use as a reference for inputting into a tracker!
In any case, if you’re interested in a piano arrangement, or a lead sheet, let me know and I’ll make one.
