Patreon Goals Updated!

I’ve finally added some Patreon goals!

I really like the idea of setting symbolic goals, and then offering a community reward to say ‘thanks.’  It took me some time to think of rewards that I thought would be interesting for me AND the community, hence the delay.  But here’s what I have so far.  Feedback welcome!

$100!

If we reach this goal, I’ll produce a 10-part tutorial series on composing music in Pico-8. The focus will be learning the major scale and using its seven modes to compose music. Each of the modes have a unique character so I’ll write short compositions using each of them. Later in the series, I’ll demonstrate how you can combine modes to create longer, more interesting compositions.

$200!

I’ve received lots of great feedback on my Pico-8 soundtrack remakes. If we reach this goal, I’ll remake another one, and stream the entire process.  I’ll let you decide which one.

$300!

I would LOVE to remake another TV show soundtrack in MilkyTracker (like Stranger Things). The problem is that transcribing the music, designing the sounds, inputting and then arranging the music for EACH TRACK is extremely time consuming.  But if we hit this goal, I’ll have incentive! I’ve received lots of messages and comments about remaking the Stranger Things Season 2 soundtrack, but I’m open to remaking others. Of course, some of these soundtracks are +2 hours, so we’ll have to keep this to about 60mins.

$400!

Fun fact: I play the spoons:

I run spoon classes at a music camp I teach at. It’s a great way to learn rhythm (and impress your friends). If we reach this goal, I’ll produce a tutorial series on how to play the spoons! Topics will include the grip, rhythm, meter, additive rhythms, polyrhythms and composition.

$500!

I’m primarily a piano player. Proof!

So I thought it’d be interesting for everyone if I arrange a video game soundtrack (of your choosing) for piano. This includes producing the sheet music too. The arrangements can be of varying difficulty, from beginner to advanced, but we can decide on that later!

What do you think of these goals/rewards? Please leave some feedback below!
