Comic Report #107.3 - How The Sausage Is Made
Added 2022-11-07 04:15:11 +0000 UTCHello again! Here's the textless version of the next page. I used Daylight Savings to my advantage and got this far an hour earlier than midnight, so I'm gonna keep this quick and see if I can't get it lettered and posted before the top of the hour.
All the back-backgrounds on this page went about as quick as I expected, but it's kinda funny how a common effect in art felt really prevalent on this particular page. There's this thing that happens when you're painting a piece where for the first 95% of the job it looks awful and feels incomplete, and then you get to that last 5% and all of a sudden the vision you saw in your head materializes before you. I felt that in particular with this page, since the steam engine part of the background felt like foreground and the rest of the background was unfinished for so long, but we got there in the end.
This week I'm gonna focus on gamedev stuff since I'd been putting that on hold a little bit in order to get this page finished. I'm gonna try to also get the next page sketched but I'll report back with how much of a workload I can successfully carry in the next four days. Until then, thanks for reading!
