Part Time Film - A career for kids & teens (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Updated for 1.63!

Here is an old project I've had, completely revamped from using the Create A Career tool to Mod Constructor 4 (which the Peteran & Jacoban priest careers might be made with, but we'll have to see). It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to just export it ^^; (I had a bad sector in my SSD that was fudging up MC4) but given that its functionality is essentially the same as when it was made in Career Tool, testing was an easy process. That said, if you have any issues, please let me know so I can fix them!

This is a paid career, but tagged as an activity to allow children to work.

Each level is hours 4pm to 8pm, and in this early stage there are no real requirements to be promoted (because I mean, your job is to be a lovable child star, not actually have any skills). There is, however, a loot action that runs in the Go To Work interaction for this career, however, with an increase in fame + the chance for a movie award nomination.

I highly recommend using my Child Stars mod to fully enhance your child sims' fame opportunities (here

Career Levels:

1. Background Extra, 100 Simoleons Per Hour -  "You're not quite in the big league yet, but don't fret. Many actors got their start by being background extras! If you don't get your break past here, there's always the fast food industry."

2. Supporting Actor, 150 Simoleons Per Hour -   "There are no small parts, kiddo. Only small actors. Keep telling yourself that until you either make your big break or turn 30 and lose all that youthful charm that got you here; whichever happens first."

3. Sitcom Star, 250 Simoleons Per Hour -   "Can you be cute? Can you say nothing but a cheesy catchphrase for a minimum of 5 years worth of episodes? These skills are what you'll need to succeed as a sitcom star. "

4. Young Superstar, 500 Simoleons Per Hour -   "You did it! Every kid your age wants to be you and every parent wants their kid to be just like you! Enjoy it while it lasts. Once this all passes, you'll need a lot of juice and a lot of high speed chases to get back into the spotlight."

Some future updates are in the works, such as finding a way to incorporate the practicing lines interaction and such, but given real life circumstances, I'd like to have this out as-is for now instead of never getting around to it.

Comments

(sorry for the late response) after school activities are categorized as "volunteer" so they have their own spot in the list. With MC4, you can set a career to "volunteer" and it'll do the work for you

Can you tell me how you got this to show up under activities rather than part time jobs in the "find a job" sort?
