Livestreamed Episode Tomorrow, Other Updates
Added 2025-03-18 16:02:29 +0000 UTCWe're trying something new and live streaming an episode on Twitch (and possibly YouTube?) tomorrow at 8 PM East. Follow E1 on Twitch here (we converted Branson's account into this one so you might already be following it). If this works well, we'll plan to do it once a month. The idea is that we're going to record all the audio separately and polish it up into Thursday's regularly scheduled episode. We're also going to avoid visual stuff (like on livestreams in the past where we do slideshows, for example) so that these remain regular audio-only E1s rather than something you need the video to understand.
Small update not worth its own post: We moved our merch store to a new URL, but it's the same stuff for sale. There's NO new merch and NO discounts, but if you think about it, the value of the dollar is guaranteed to decline, while goods and services are going UP UP UP, so there's no better time to buy than now.
On the subject of us actually using all the social media sites we don't like or care about (here's our Instagram btw), is there any interest in an E1 subreddit? There used to be a fan-made one but it looks like some random guy took it over and locked it like a year ago. Should we make an official one? Would anyone post there? Realistically, Twitter is a shithole in terminal decline and Reddit is in a slower and more gradual decline, so what could it hurt.

Hesse was a fantastic surprise, however I must warn you a group of us have gotten together and decided to sue for using our likeness as the audience silhouettes. You had no right to use what are clearly the backs of all our heads.

2025-03-19 13:37:38 +0000 UTCI rarely use any social media, dipped my toes in bsky for a bit and it seemed nice but once the honeymoon period was over I kinda forgot about it. Those things require too much time and commitment to keep on top of for me. but for those who can I would reccomend Bsky. Might as well make a subreddit as it's always a good hub of sorts for fans asking questions and trading info, especially if the unofficial one got nuked.
