Originally recorded by Mississippi Fred McDowell in 1965, the song captures the essence of traditional Delta blues with its raw, soulful vocals and slide guitar accompaniment. Over the years, artists like The Rolling Stones have also recorded their interpretations, further cementing the song's significance in the blues genre.

This cover features a fingerstyle rendition with a capo on the 3rd fret, shifting the song to A major positions while retaining the original C major key.
