Behind The Songs Ep 2: History

Episode 2 is here! I still feel so crazy and insecure after posting these, but it's been an amazing thing hearing from people about their own experiences and hearing how people can relate. 😭 It means everything.

I gotta keep this short because I'm on a plane and it's about to take off but happy Monday and you are wonderful and thank you all for being the best!!

Behind The Songs Ep 2: History

Kina, this record and this song mean so much to me. It’s remarkable how similar a lot of our experiences have been. It makes me feel even closer to this song. I’m so happy we’re celebrating In The Waiting. It came just when I needed it so much in my life. So, thank you!

I was very much like you when I was younger. I was also mute in front of other people. I ate lunch by myself every single day in middle school. These days, I'm still shy and quiet, but I think I'm getting better at it. 😊 Thanks for sharing these because at least I know I'm not alone. ❤

💕💕💕 History is one of my favorite music video and watching this behind the song video makes me love it more... thank u thanku

This is my favorite song off the album! The first time I listened to it, i was in such a very low point in life and I couldn’t help but cry while listening to it. Ahhh you’re truly amazing Kina 💗

That’s xoxo perfect

This is beautiful

YOU are such a wonderful human being. Hope YOU will be for a long long long time......

Kina ! Kina, Kinaaaa !!!! Remember about the mirror !!! Secondly, make a google search about UNCONDITIONAL love. Quite certain that 99.9999999 % of us practice that for ya. So please put the craziness and the insecurity in the recycle bin !!!! SAFE PLACE !!!

I love your insight. And I like the notion of remembering the past and trying to figure out how it shapes who you are and where you're going. We have two Japanese scrolls in our house. The English translation of one says: "Respect the past - create the new." The other says: "Each moment only once." These are two traditional Japanese concepts. One reminds us to build on the traditions of our ancestors as a foundation for the future. One reminds us to make the best of each moment because that particular moment cannot happen again. Finally, I agree that lyrics should be interpreted by each listener. The composer can only write what they feel. Each listener makes their own interpretation and connection. That's what brings the feeling to music and art.

In the stories the wise ones live apart in peculiar hermitages, so it's fitting for us to see you scrunched up in various nests handing us wisdom. Safe travels! See you when we see you again :D

Absolutely amazing! I can totally relate. I remember growing up, and even when I was still in college, which was only about a year ago, constantly asking myself if I was playing it too safe. Everyone else has gotten stupid drunk, gone to parties, dated a whole bunch of people, and I was a good kid. Listened to my parents, spent lots of time with them and my brother, afraid to dance and go to parties, didn't like drinking, never tried smoking. I asked myself a lot if I was missing out anything. But as I get older, I am learning that is what makes me a good person. I stayed on the path of least resistance and kept going and didn't let others influence me. And you did as well...and to know I'm not the only one, YOU'RE not the only one, feels good. 😊
