Calypso Guitar

The inspiration for this project came to me when listening to Afro-Caribbean music on the radio. One particular calypso rhythm pattern stood out in my mind and I immediately thought it would be great material for a song. I made up some simple melody lines and intertwined them with this rhythm pattern.
Harmonically the song is very straightforward. It involves only two chords, E and B7, for almost the entirety of the song except for the last part which has a thread of chords, E, D, C#m7 and C7, returning to B7 at the end.
