so i don't know if this is a thing for anyone else, but there seem to be maybe 5 or so random songs from throughout my life that periodically pop into my head and get very stuck there--often, and for no reason. they aren't even necessarily my favorite songs, and they are songs i haven't listened to in probably 10+ years. because they're around in my mind so often, they've come to feel like good friends of mine :) (jesse may feel differently since he's the one that has to hear me singing the same parts of them on loop ALL. THE. TIME.) anyone else experience something like this? what are your songs? some others of mine are "mr jones pt 2" by ben folds, "hero" by kate earl, and... (see i promise i was going somewhere with this random story!!) "at last" by etta james.
i've loved this song for so long and i don't know why it never occurred to me to cover it, but i'm so glad i finally have! (we've got jesse to thank for that idea--thank you jesse!)
in other news:
- i still owe you the first song i ever wrote, and i'm trying to make that happen this month (so much regret)
- trying to get the next song from the new album out later this month--fingers crossed i can get it done in time!
- i've started taking super beginning hip hop dance classes and it's the most fun(/most terrifying) thing ever

Thats CRAZY that you are at Fillmore tonight Nov 10 (T.T crying that i'm missing it) and that tomorrow Nov 11 another special/favorite artist of mine Hemilton Leithauser is also performing at Fillmore. Two of my fav ppl at same place one after the other, what are the odds??! <3 life is crazy. crazier that i can't make it to either show! :'(
