New Video: Issues (Julia Michaels Cover)

hi friends!!

i intended to have a bit more time to sit with this post and share some thoughts today, but today has gone a little crazy so far and now i'm left with just a few minutes to type this out before heading out to a wedding (more accurately: heading out to sit in traffic for an hour and a half). jesse and i just finished up a lovely birthday lunch with my dad, and then (thanks to a text from a friend), realized that jesse's phone, unbeknownst to us, had been live-streaming for who knows how long. we spent the next 5 minutes frantically trying to shut it off, all the while watching the commentary of everyone uncomfortably watching the stream. if any of you happened to catch that, i apologize!! 😂  (and if we are some how still streaming, please warn me below!!) 

as you can see, the use of capitalization has gone out the window in this post. no time for that! (though why there is time for me to waste time talking about that... i don't know.)

well, the short version is this: i hope you like this cover! i love singing this song, i wish i wrote this song, i think it has a beautiful message that perhaps not a lot of people catch upon first listen. there is also a live version of juia michaels singing this song ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pERGMSFQ1og ) that i absolutely adore because i can FEEL the joy she feels for singing and it reminds me of that same joy that first brought me to sing in the first place. 

isn't it funny that this post, that started with a disclaimer on how short it had to be, is now longer than most video-day posts? haha. i guess it's that adrenaline pumping through my veins. i should probably cut myself off now though because i still look like i just woke up and i have a formal wedding to be at imminently!
