I've been really excited to share this cover with you. I revisited this song recently on a drive with some friends and was suddenly struck by what a powerful song it was. In true Kina fashion, I thought it might be fun to suck all the upbeat bouncy life out of it and make it a little more feely feel time ;) Love the lyrics and message and have been really trying to take them to heart. Been feeling a little cloudy lately, so just trying to keep moving, keep positive, keep focused on all the important things, and remember I'm just "in the middle of the ride", so to speak. Everything (...everything) will be all right.
Like I mentioned in the video, song #2 for the upcoming mini album is underway--but giving me a bit of a hard time! I think I've gone and made everything a bit too precious feeling and gotten a little stuck as a result. Might be time to step back, let the song breathe, and remember that sometimes less is more. Let the song just be the song... sometimes you don't need the bells and whistles. This will be my main focus for the next two weeks. Hope I can do it justice!
