New Video! Memory (Throwback Session)

Friends! Hello!

Somehow our Patreon Family has grown by FOUR new humans in the last 24 hours!! Welcome, newbies, whoever you are! Please feel free to introduce yourselves below and tell us a little bit about who you are--we're quite a friendly bunch here and we'd love to know you :)

It's so fun for me to revisit these oldies, so I hope you enjoy it too! I know that my "oldies" are potentially brand new songs for a lot of you who haven't been around as long, too, so I'm equally excited to be introducing you to some old favorites!

How's everyone doing? What's the best thing you've eaten this week? I want some cooking inspiration :) I baked bread for the first time and it was so awesome (except for the extremely crunchy crust that tore up the roof of my mouth... ow).

Hope you're all well and thank you as always for your incredible support <3

Hi Kina! Just recently saw your instagram post with your breakfast. I have a great idea! (Now I'm not sure if you will read this, but I so hope you will) all the food you and Jessie make looks so good, you should make a Kina cookbook! Call it "Kina's cuisines" I know I'd buy it! Just a thought :) Much love, Kyle.

Memories & feelings! <3

Hi everyone, and hi Kina. I have never done anything like this, but I'm happy that the first artist I support this way is Kina. Sometimes I get so blue I stop listening to music entirely, but then I take a chance and click on one of Kina's old songs. It's magic. As for food inspiration, I'm vegan so am always whipping up something new. My current favorite is tofu scramble with turmeric, nutritional yeast, and bell pepper.

Ya. You'll want the dough almost too sticky to work with. That will give a nice soft crust. And make sure to let it sit and cool for at least a half hour before cutting. Tough, but important.

a couple times a week!? wow, that's amazing. i'll try that next time! softer crust sounds wonderful :)

likening my voice the the pacific northwest (one of my favorite places of all time).... that's just the best thing ever. thank you! and man, sounds like some good cookin going on over there

keep me in the tome loop...!1

The baguette wasn't too difficult! I hope it's a bit crustier next time. You guys should definitely try a recipe!

Fresh bread is the best. I've been making it a couple times a week for years now, and it's so much fun. Put the same recipe in a loaf pan at 375 for 50 mins or so if you want a softer crust. It's all a balance between moisture, temperature, and time. But keep practicing, as it gets better and better

I love it when you revisit the oldies! It's amazing to see how much your music has grown over the years. Your voice reminds me of the Pacific Northwest, calm, soothing and green, just full of life. Love hearsing it each and every day! As for food...erm, made slow cooker baby back ribs, cilantro and lime grilled chicken, curry chicken.

Oh so so beautiful. Truly thank you. The last message at the end was so kind! I was sitting here, reveling in the last moments of the video, the last seconds of the song, a bit sad that it was ending and then your message came up saying, "Hey, I appreciate you Kinerd out there, still here!" ❤ Well we appreciate you too!

that's awesome, what a cool idea!

thank you so much, peng!! i'm so glad you've been enjoying these :) and how hard was the baguette to make!? i need to try that!

thanks naoki!

so glad to hear that, zubair! and BIRIYANI! 🙌🏻

P.S. I ate fish Biriyani last night :)

I'm living these throwback covers! This song has a mysterious feel to it, so it was interesting to hear about its origins and what it means to you.

Hi Kina, thanks give a pretty song. It gave me a relax time after lunch in my office. ^*

Welcome to the new members of the Fam! I know you mentioned in the hangout being a little self-conscious of some of the oldies (maybe just the super oldies) but if any are like this (even if they aren't) then wow - keep them coming. I second and third the vote for many of the oldies listed above. There are many songs from your early albums that take me back years to when first discovering your music and the journey has been wonderful and it's great to hear others I haven't heard or aren't as familiar with! Please don't stop! And please do more background on stories. Always wonderful to hear what inspires these songs. Funny you mentioned bread too! - We just started watching The Great British Baking Show and baked our first French Baguette - best thing eaten this week has to be some good Vietnamese Pho!

Btw, that leaving face up pennies thing reminds me of what Emma Watson does, leaving books in subways.
