Milestones!!

Aaaaaand I finally found "Teeny Bear Goes Sailing" and "Oh The Hummingbird", and they are ADORABLE! There's absolutely no reason to think we will love this upcoming song any less. You have always had a gift, Kina. A very, very special gift, and I'm looking forward to hearing what that gift created before you became the song-writing genius (in my opinion) and the artistic-melody master of today.

Which, considering she technically already had 3 albums out before Stairwells... I suck.

Ugh. I feel so left out for not being familiar with those songs... like I just found out about her last week, and not been a fan since Stairwells.

Mental preparation is in progress. But no worries! Everyone begins in a small way and skill - everybody knows it - comes with practice! As you said, Kina, this song was your first real creation (apart from "Teeny Bear Goes Sailing" & Co.) and set a point from where you and your music have grown immensely. And look at you, now! -- You're a talented, wonderful singer/songwriter with a big heart and touching lyrics/melodies. Take your time with your mental preparation, we'll be waiting patiently. :)

What's important is that it spoke to you when you wrote it. It will probably speak to at least one person here when you share it (I'm guessing more, actually). That's the whole point: you get to help us express things in words and music that we all feel, even if we don't always know quite the right way to say it. So it might not have the benefit of your now years of songwriting experience, but it's still a part of you, and we'll still love it and support you. It's very brave of you to share it in the first place, as many musicians I know would have burned anything written and claimed to have forgotten the whole thing. Can't wait till you share this special song.

It's very likely we'll all love it anyway, Kina! Your beautiful voice makes any song sound better, and I think this song will be wonderful too, even without the song-writing expertise we're all used to.
