Dryads

Introducing one of the races which will be part of the next race poll, the description is intentionally light and will be further refined if they are chosen in the poll.

Description:  They consider themselves the spirits and guardians of plants and nature. They look with great resentment at the cities polluting the rivers and land surrounding them.

Hair: They don’t have typical hair more like a dense mix of soft leaves and flowers which are growing out of their bodies.

Clothing: They don’t wear real clothes, what looks like pieces of cloth made from plants are actually living plants which they grow to fit their bodies.

Average Height: 5’7”- 6’7” (170cm-200cm)

Body type: Tall and thin, with elegant sharp features, there is a band of flowers growing out of their spine and in some other places as well.

Food: They feed of water, juices and the sun.

Magic: All of them are able to use magic but most of their power comes from the nature surrounding them which is why they live deep in old forests where many of the plants themselves are able to manipulate magic in various ways.

Technology: They despise it because it hurts their beloved forests, with all the wood required to build and operate these modern machines.

Intimacy: Little is known about what happens, sometimes a man will be lured deep into the woods with the help of an almost irresistible scent. He will then appear again at the edge of the forest a week or two later with the happiest look on his face, unable to do anything meaningful for another month often barely able to speak. After that time he will come back to his senses and feel great. Almost every man who had that happen to him lived a long life afterwards without suffering any illness or pain again.
