Been working on project some more, and while it's mostly in bits and pieces, the parts for making the first proper levels are starting to come together. Firstly on visuals, I added a background over the stock gray and added some parallax scrolling to it. For controls, there's some tweaks to movement: ball form moves slightly faster but also falls faster, pull force from stretching was tweaked a bit and now you can stretch down while in midair.
Additionally, spawning into a room and transitions between levels was added in. Hazards were also added, current ones being pits and crushers - the latter being distinct from the pistons that squish you into pancake mode (look for the hazard sign)!
