After that conversation got weary, they'd gossip about the Morrigan-Fel feud and sometimes Kira would discuss her issues with Narah.
Tabby was always asking Kira to introduce her to Irvin and Kira asking Tabby to introduce her to Roland. But as was the case with both, it was always a tricky subject.
Kira was deep in her research, working up to the opportunity to visit and study the artefact found in system. Tabby was shortlisted for her first command, if she passed the final trials.
Everything looked good for them... until, well you know.
