When the Drone Fleet came forth from the Dark World (A planet surrounded in a null field) it was just a matter of time before the Skrill were exterminated. The Honnehari fled, and Yeverii hid in virtual time streams. Doranel however was able to preserve herself in a different fashion.

She spent the next billion years working, her sense of time and reality very different from ours, or even Yeverii's.

Whispers of her legend, persisted in primitive religions of the new species that followed.

But all that came to an end once Straker came on the scene...

They aren't direct spoilers, but even reading these words might cause you to connect some dots.

Some of the super races that remained, partook in evolutionary gardening, others like Doranel erected reality firewalls - hidden barriers in space-time to prevent the drone fleet expanding further. She also partook in causal archeology, preserving resonance patterns in all the destroyed Skrill, and later - others, in the hope that one day an opportunity might arise to resurrect them.

Potential reveal: "I have been calculating probabilities, weaving causality, preparing... for 1.5 billion years. You, Straker of Earth, are the culmination of my work."
