The Hunter Amongst Villains Draft - More Fun Stuff
Added 2021-02-12 05:30:55 +0000 UTCHere we continued writing about the fun times for a while. Asura-Oh and I spent quite some time together on this, enjoying writing Garou in certain situations of him settling down before he had to leave due to RL issues and stuff.
“Fehhh, I fed you and you all want to fight the next second? Is the food that miraculous to instantaneously replenish your fighting spirit?” Ghin asked, evidently displeased.
Standing in the makeshift courtyard, a large flat terrain of natural rock, stood Ghin pouting on one side with Class 1-A athwart.
Now that they had all eaten, 1-A could feel their energy return to them. Plus, most of them had wanted to fight Ghin since they’d arrived at the dojo. Aizawa stood off to one distance, calmly observing.
“We’re as ready as we ever will be to fight you.”
Izuku stared at Ghin, determination clear in his eyes. He was already getting flashbacks of the last two times.
“I doubt it. Just come at me so you can all lose.” Ghin waved his hand, telling them to come at him.
However, instead of rushing in like last time, all of 1-A watched Ghin extremely cautiously. They had some idea of what he could do, having fought him before.
“Really? You're playing the waiting game? Also, Grape Boy.” Ghin pointed at Mineta.
Mineta perked up at hearing his name. Unlike the last time, he wasn’t cowering. In both his hands, he held a purple ball, his Quirk.
“I have surpassed my weakness. I no longer fear your Quirk.” Ghin smirked as his hands bursted into crimson silver essence.
Every member of 1-A could tell that this energy was bad. They had no idea what it was even capable of.
“Wind God Slayer, Original Move.” Ghin smiled as he reared back his hand, his fingers now forming a claw.
Seeing Ghin rearing his hand back, Shouto quickly began to form a large wall of ice between them and the boy. Whilst they were doing this, they kept an eye out for any potential ‘ambushes’ by their silver haired opponent.
“Wind Demon’s claw!” Ghin shouted as he threw five vertical blades of pure crimson-silver as it cleaved through the ice like butter, flying past all the students unharmed. It clipped some of Izuku’s costume as his clothing fell.
The wind that followed the blades of energy buffeted all of 1-A. Even though it had only clipped Izuku, it sent him spinning backwards. He barely kept his balance, remaining on his feet.
The wall of ice had been shattered, now showing Ghin still standing where he had been. Dusting themselves off, the students of 1-A faced their distant opponent.
“Give it up. You all are no match for me. I've developed killer moves that can slay even monsters!” Ghin started laughing with both hands on his hips, laughing like a stereotypical villain.
“We haven’t come this far to just give up and go home. Besides, we’d probably need to walk.”
Kirishima grinned at Ghin. His classmates all agreed with him. They weren’t going to just lie down like last time. And they’d been planning for this as well.
“Alright! Painful beatings it is!” Ghin’s image then blurred as he moved in with astonishing speed.
Seeing Ghin moving in, 1-A went to work. Emerging from Yaoyorozu’s back, came one of her large sheets. As it fell to the ground, it covered her along with Uraraka, Jiro, Ashido, Sero and Tokoyami. Once it settled on the ground, none of the five students were visible.
Meanwhile, the best fighters and combatants of 1-A had stepped towards Ghin. Iida, Izuku, Bakugou, Todoroki and Kirishima all faced down the approaching opponent. Behind them stood their support in the form of Shoji, Satou, Tsuyu, Kaminari, Ojiro and Aoyama.
Without a word, Ghin appeared in front of Todoroki.
“Revenge for the ice prison.” Ghin said as a crimson glint appeared in his eye.
Seeing the silver-haired boy appear in front of him so suddenly, Todoroki began to step backwards. Meanwhile, the rest of the fighters had turned towards Ghin, closing in on his from both sides.
But only Iida got to him first with his Quirk.
“Respiro! Burst!” He shouted, his right already swinging towards the small boy.
Without looking, the boy ducked his head and turned, sweeping Iida’s standing leg off the ground before switching focus back to Todoroki. Before Iida touched the ground, Ghin lunged in for a straight punch, his crimson-silvered fist connecting to Shouto’s ribs.
As the fist landed, Todoroki was sent flying backwards. But luckily, the multiple arms of Shoji managed to catch him before he flew too far backwards. Meanwhile, the rest of the fighters closed in. Izuku was the next to reach Ghin, with green electricity sparking off of him, his fist prepared to strike.
“Have you learned nothing?” Ghin asked as he casually raised his hand to catch the fist.
However, Izuku immediately retracted the fist and switched to a low kick for Ghin’s side. His leg was met with Ghin’s thigh, raised to block the kick with no wasted movement.
At this point, both Bakugou and Kirishima had closed in on Ghin, standing on opposite sides of Ghin. Hardening his fist, Kirishima’s arm lashed out at Ghin, attempting to take advantage of Izuku’s distraction.
However, the boy smacked Kirishima’s fist away with his palm, redirecting it to Izuku as it struck his face instead.
“Ah!?”
Midoriya’s head snapped back as he took the punch at full power. Luckily, he hadn’t been knocked out. He was now sporting a large bruise on his cheek.
“S-Sorry!” Kirishima apologized before turning to Ghin, desiring vengeance.
“You're a turtle.” Ghin said placed his palm on Kirishima’s stomach, before he channeled a pulse of explosive energy through him.
“Kai!” Ghin thrusted, as Kirishima felt something exploding through his hardened stomach, vibrating his hardened body as he skid back through the dirt.
Gritting his teeth, Kirishima came to a stop quite a distance away. As Izuku quickly recovered from his redirected punch, he began to channel One For All. He could feel his arms strain as he prepared to attack.
“Ouuuryaaa!”
“You're mine, shrimp!”
Noticing both Satou and Bakugou approaching, Izuku delayed his attack in an attempt to form a coordinated attack. As Bakugou approached Ghin from the front, he glared over at Izuku.
“Now!”
Bakugou held his hands with both palms facing inwards. He had made sure he was in Ghin’s line of sight. Numerous explosions began to fill the gap between both of his hands. Hearing the warning from Bakugou, both Satou and Izuku closed their eyes. Then, a blinding white light emerged from Bakugou’s hands
The blinding light caused most of 1-A to cover their own eyes. Shoji had spread out his tentacled arms, trying to block out the light for the people behind him. Todoroki stood behind him, injured but not defeated
“Eh?” Ghin was genuinely surprised as he covered his eyes. He did not expect Bakugou to be capable of firing flashbangs from his palms.
As Ghin covered his eyes, 1-A saw their chance. Aoyama leant backwards and fired a beam of light directly towards Ghin. He was glad that he was wearing his Hero costume. The visor helped reduce the effect of the flashbang.
He wasn’t the only one to take advantage. Kirishima rushed back in. Izuku glanced over at Satou, sharing a look. They then both began to approach Ghin, fists readied.
*Bam*
“Eh?” Satou coughed spit as he felt something hitting his stomach.
As for Kirishima, the moment his fist was about to make contact, Ghin’s hand intervened, and pulled him over with ridiculous strength that a ten year old boy should not possess as he threw the hardened teen towards the laser.
Seeing Kirishima being swung into the path of his beam, Aoyama almost immediately turned away, aiming his navel away. But the beam still made contact, if only for a second. Luckily Kirishima had been Hardened, or else he would have take even more damage.
“What the hell…” Bakugou grimaced. The boy’s reflexes were monstrous. He wondered what the boy did to get such supernatural senses…
Focusing on Ghin, both Izuku and Bakugou moved in towards him as the rest of their classmates were recovering. Bakugou began using his explosions to launch himself around Ghin with some level of acrobatics. Izuku on the other hand, lashed out with a empowered kick. His leg whipped through the air as it approached.
“Too noisy!” Eyes still closed, Ghin complained as he blocked the leg with both his arms, the rebounding force sent him skidding backwards this time.
As Ghin was sent skidding back, Bakugou began launching explosion after explosion at him. He was well aware that none of them would harm the boy, but they would obscure his vision. And the rest of the fighters needed a moment to recover. It was up to Bakugou and Izuku to give them that moment.
“Stop spamming flashbangs!” Ghin’s outraged cry shouted as he appeared before Bakugou, grabbing him by the throat and squeezed, choking the life out of him. The bomb tried to blast Ghin’s face in response, but the boy kneed him in the gut, knocking out his stamina as the air was blocked in his windpipe.
As Bakugou was being brutalized, Izuku quickly looked around at his classmates. Kirishima seemed to have recovered, and was raring to go again. Shouto was more beaten up, clearly a little shaky from the empowered punch of Ghin’s. Even Iida had risen from the ground. All four of them nodded together as they turned to the silver-haired boy.
“You and your frickin Quirk, spamming Blind over and over. You wanna die?” Ghin asked as he finally opened his eyes, his face radiating extreme irritation as he choked the life out of Bakugou.
As Ghin stood there, with Bakugou struggling in his grip, Bakugou noticed a flash of movement. Out of seemingly nowhere, Tsuyu’s tongue had stretched out, wrapping around Ghin’s leg. Pulling her head back, she attempted to pull the boy off balance, all while Iida, Shouto, Kirishima and Izuku ran towards Ghin.
As they all approached, they powered themselves up their maximum. Roaring out loud, Kirishima activated his Quirk. Shouto prepared his own Quirk, as did Izuku and Iida.
“Hnng!” Ghin immediately stomped the tongue with his other leg.
“Aghhh!!?” Tsuyu cried from pain as she tried to yank her tongue away.
Unwrapping his other leg from the tongue, Ghin lifted Bakugou up and kicked him away towards Izuku and Iida.
Extending both arms, Izuku managed to catch the flying form of Bakugou, which sent him sliding back from the momentum. Meanwhile, Iida and Kirishima continued approaching.
“Red Riot Unbreakable!”
“Recipro Burst!”
They both could feel their bodies rebelling against the strain they were being put under. Iida seemed to rocket towards Ghin, whilst Kirishima’s entire body hardened to a ludicrous level.
As the two engaged the boy in battle, Bakugou and Izuku stood behind as the first gagged and coughed for oxygen.
“Ack! That little shit actually tried to choke me to death…” He cursed as he continued coughing.
“Are you alright Kacchan?”
Izuku glanced over at his childhood friend. Already, Bakugou had taken the toughest beating out of the whole class.
Bakugou glared over Izuku, wiping his mouth with one arm.
“Don’t call me that. And besides, we’ve got bigger things to focus on.”
“AHhhhh!”
“AHhhhhhh!”
Already, the bodies of Kirishima and Iida flew over their heads and crashing towards the support team.
However, at that moment, a loud fluttering filled the air. Glancing back hopefully, Izuku could see the sheet that Momo had created, being thrown into the air. The students were still in the same place where they had started. But now, surrounding them, was a fair amount of Garou themed plushies, along with a few other Garou items. There was even a basic looking katana. Yaoyorozu seemed noticeably thinner.
“....” The young boy was already drooling, his eyes already locked onto the Garou merch distracted.
“Wait, you can make those abominations?! I'll kill you!” The enraged Garou roared from the sidelines.
“Stop him before he gets her!” Mirio shouted as the others sprang into action.
Hado and the others swiftly intervened Garou from marching in to destroy Yaoyorozu, the girl pushing him back by the chest while others held him back by the arms.
Attempting to block out Garou’s voice, Yaoyorozu began to implement the second stage in her plan. Suddenly, the various items began to float up into the air, no longer constrained by gravity.
The sword, along with the Garou merch, flew higher and higher into the air, drawing Ghin’s attention into the sky.
Now that the second stage had begun, they could only hope Ghin would react like they had expected.
“Mine!” Ghin already started running towards the merch with wild abandon.
However, the merch remained in the air, floating out of his grasp. Uraraka could feel herself becoming increasingly more nauseous as she held them in the air, both hands pressed together. Ghin seemed to have completely disregarded the class, only staring up at the floating items. His guard was down, but it wasn’t the right time. Not yet.
“...I kind of feel bad about this.” Izuku said laughing nervously. They were taking advantage of a boy’s love for his hero against him.
However, Bakugou merely grumbled beside him.
“He uses our own weaknesses against us. Why can’t we do the same?”
“This is more… wrong… how does it make us heroes if we take advantage of a boy’s innocent desires?”
Bakugou turned to fully face Izuku, fuming. He gestured around at the class and the surrounding area.
“That is no innocent kid. I thought you would have got this through your fucking head the two times we’ve fought him!”
“Yeah… but still.” Izuku said as he watched Ghin hopping into the air trying to reach the floating goods.
Bakugou walked past Izuku towards Ghin, brushing shoulders.
“We’re still fighting him. Don’t have time for this chit chat.”
Yaoyorozu had been the one who had formulated the entire plan. The opening stage was for the best fighters of the class to distract Ghin, with a few others to defend Momo as she created the tools she needed. Then, the second stage was lifting them up in the air using Uraraka’s Quirk to draw Ghin’s attention into the sky.
As Yaoyorozu went through the mental checklist, she could clearly hear in the background the angry, frustrated voice of Garou, ranting to them. She was glad that he was choosing to shout from the sidelines, instead of marching in. She shivered as she knew she’d need to deal with Garou afterwards. Garou was throwing threat after threat. ‘I’ll throw you off the mountain’, ‘I'll grind you to paste, ‘You'll die a thousand deaths’, ‘Destroy those now or I'll rip your head off’ were a few of the threats fusillading her way. Glancing at Garou, the Pro Heroes and The Third Years were holding a raging, fuming Garou back, trying to stop him from carrying out those threats.
Going back to her train of thought, still shivering, Momo watched Ghin as she waited for the third stage of the plan. With Ghin’s incredible physical prowess, it wouldn’t be long before he became frustrated and leapt up to reach the products himself. Once that would happen, then they would spring the trap.
“GIMME!” His patience shorted out, Ghin then leapt, rising high into the air trying to catch the merch.
Seeing Ghin rise towards the products, Yaoyorozu turned to Uraraka. She really appeared quite ill now. However, with a sigh of relief, Uraraka released the hold on the floating items. The sword, along with the Garou merch, all began to fall the earth rapidly.
“Merch!” Ghin squawked as he scrounged the merchandise in the air as he fell to the ground.
This had been what 1-A was waiting for. Unless he chose to use his Quirk, Ghin had little control over his fall. Standing underneath Ghin’s predicted falling path was Bakugou, Shouto, Aoyama, Satou and a very beaten Kirishima.
As the boy fell towards them, they all unleashed their attacks. Bakugou released the grenade pin on his bracers, sending a huge explosion rocketing towards Ghin. Besides him, Aoyama leant almost ninety degrees backwards and fired his navel laser at Ghin once again. Holding up his left hand, Shouto sent forth a gigantic plume of flame. The entire area became noticeably hotter as he unleashed his fire.
“Meeeerch!” Ghin’s cries soon died as he was enveloped in a grand explosion of Quirks converging to his small body, clouding his visage in dust.
However, none of the three ranged attackers let up. Aoyama began to grow rather pale as his stomach began feeling the negative effects of his Quirk. Bakugou could feel his forearms begin to strain as he fired off huge blast after huge blast. Meanwhile, Todoroki couldn’t afford to use his right side to cool himself down for a second. If his focus dipped, then the stream of flame would weaken. He could feel the heat build up around them.
The moment the three couldn't fire their Quirks anymore, something drop out of the plume. A silver cocoon of light dropped landing in the middle of the crowd below.
Yaoyorozu grimaced as she saw this. So Ghin had actually used his Quirk. That was a problem. None of them had fought Ghin whilst he used it. Therefore, they had no way of knowing how to counter it.
The silver light dissipated, revealing a very… sad Ghin as he cried over the loss of most Merch. Only the Katana, some plushies and a backpack remained.
“Wahhhhh…” Ghin’s sorrowful voice cried to their ears with genuine tears streaming down his face.
As 1-A heard Ghin’s cries, they couldn’t help but get the sense that maybe they’d gone a little too far. They never expected the boy to cry. They all felt pangs of sympathy for the heartbroken young boy as they stood there, stationary.
“My merch… why? Why would you do this?” Ghin asked the Class as if they killed a human being.
None of the class could respond however. At this moment, they all remembered. They were fighting a ten year old. Of course he would react like this.
The boy continued wailing to himself, teardrops wetting the dry dirt as his lamenting cries gradually dimmed by the second - until eerie silence followed along with a still, unmoving Ghin. No, the boy started to tremble, his body shaking visibly as the ambience turned dark and foreboding.
“Yoooouuuu. I will kill you all for murdering my merch.” Sorrow combusted to rage, Ghin immediately changed his tune as the lights behind his back turned crimson red with fury.
Seeing the warning from the lights, all of 1-A now prepared themselves. Momo’s plan had not gone farther than this point. They would have to figure it out as they went along.
“Star Destroyer.” Ghin muttered as various orbs of light formed from him back, all aimed at the students around him.
Seeing the orbs position themselves, the students of 1-A attempted to find some kind of cover. Another one of Todoroki’s ice walls rose up, attempting to shelter those near him.
*BOOM*
A massive explosion engulfed the surrounding area, covering the area in blinding crimson light, forcing most of the bystanders to cover their eyes.
“Whoa!” Mt Lady shouted, taken off guard by the destructive power behind Ghin’s Quirk. Even Endeavour was impressed.
Class 1-B also had to cover their eyes, unable to brave the explosive light and watch.
The earth shook as 1-A seemed to be engulfed by the explosion. The ice wall of Todoroki’s barely protected them, huge chunks vaporized into hissing steam. The students struggled to keep their balance as the tremors continued.
When the plume died down, Ghin remained untouched, including the merch he salvaged from the onslaught. All around him, however, laid bodies of various students. Most of the support team failed to escape, Kirishima collapsed protecting those who couldn't escape in time, and Shoji fell over protecting Bakugou.
Barely any of the students of 1-A were standing. Now there was only Izuku, Bakugou, Todoroki and miraculously, Mineta. Everyone else was either unconscious, or was too injured to continue fighting. All four of the students were scorched and slightly blackened.
“What the hell was that? That was the kid’s Quirk?”
Bakugou seemed astounded by the sheer level of power that Ghin’s Quirk allowed. There had been barely any warning before Ghin had fired off that gigantic blast.
“I think… we have pushed him over the edge.”
The strained voice of Todoroki responded to Bakugou. Shouto seemed to be blackened and scorched from the explosion.
“You will suffer a thousand more deaths added to this one.” Ghin’s snarling voice resounded as a laser flew from Ghin’s back zipping past Todoroki’s left hair without warning.
Shouto could feel the sheer heat grazing the skin of his cheek as it flew past him. If he wasn’t careful and got hit by one of those, it could very well kill them. The image of the four of them, all standing there with huge smoking holes dotted around their bodies filled their heads. It was not a pleasant image to entertain.
“Alright. Stop this.” Garou called out as he started walking into the center of the stage, no longer angry as he shrugged them all off to stop his first disciple from a potential rampage.
“The victor is clear. Any more and the squirt might actually try to kill you.” Garou warned before the fight goes any further.
Aizawa was still watching from the sidelines, the lower half of his face hidden by his usual scarf. Still, he had very clearly been concerned for his students once the four last ‘survivors’ had faced down Ghin. If Garou hadn’t intervened when he did, then Aizawa would have stepped in himself regardless of the risk. His eyes began to glow red as he prepared his Quirk, just in case.
“Shrimp. Man up. The girl can make more for you if you want.” Garou said pointing at Yaoyorozu’s unconscious body.
“...will she?” Ghin asked, the crimson light behind him fading back to silver.
“Ugh… yes. Isn't that right, pups?” Garou turned his head back seeing the four survivors.
“Uhh… y-yeah sure…”
Izuku, along with the three other survivors, all nodded in agreement.
“Good. Now, we don't have a nurse office yet, but I have the supplies. Slaves, with me.” Garou said calling out his newest students to follow him as he headed for the dojo.
Sprawled over the rocky floor in neat rows, lay the unconscious students of Class 1-A. The survivors of Ghin’s onslaught engaged in bandaging and sanitizing the wounded from Garou’s storage en masse.
As the four remaining survivors checked on their friends, they found that luckily, most of them weren’t too badly injured. Just blackened and scorched with some bruising.
As for the one who inflicted the damage responsible for their condition, he was busy cuddling with his beloved pets as they licked his cheeks with affection.
The next day, Class 1-A and 1-B had another class, this time the Third Year class of Mirio and the ‘Big Four’. Under the hot sunny day, the three classes walked through the woods, the students chatting casually with the other.
The Third Years were informed they'll soon meet Garou in-person with Snipe, after revealing that Snipe was now under Garou’s tutelage. Most of them were rather anxious and even a little bit fearful. The Pussycats had shown them the backbreaking level of Garou’s training. But now they would be meeting the man himself.
Most of Class 1-A had recovered from the previous days battle. However, it was obvious to see. Noticeable bruises were all over the different faces of the students of 1-A.
“I would never have thought that 1-A would have lost so badly to such a young boy! It’s pretty shameful.”
Monoko leered, his smug grin irritating all of 1-A.
“Would you like to fight him them?” Bakugou sneered at Class 1-B’s infamous narcissist.
“You didn’t even manage to get a hit on him! So much for ‘top class’.”
Monoka ignored Bakugou’s words, still lauding the defeat of 1-A over their heads like a spectre. Frustration began to boil to the surface as Monoka continued his mockery.
*Thump Thump Thump Thump*
Arrived the rumbling steps of giants, shaking forested trees and humid earth as two great shadows slowly towered over the group.
*Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
“Hello!” The young voice of Ghin shouted from atop the head of Skoll and Hati, as the duo imposingly growled at Class 1-B.
All of 1-A could feel their bruises almost throb at the sight of Ghin, the memory of the battle still fresh in their mind. 1-B stood there, frozen by the menacing growling of the giant wolf.
Even the seniors were struck silent. Who was this young boy?
“Is that Garou’s kid?”
“Maybe little brother.”
“What the hell is up with those wolves? Aren’t wolves supposed to be extinct on mainland Japan?”
“That’s your question?”
The Third Years all began talking amongst themselves. They hadn’t really been expecting such a greeting.
“Ghin! Can you give us a ride?” Cupping his hands on his mouth, Mirio shouted.
“Fine! But Gas mask must walk! And the other teachers as well!” Ghin demanded without budge.
Aizawa, Vlad King and Snipe all sighed heavily. Snipe seemed to droop in position, resigned to his fate. Mirio nodded in agreement, earning stares from three pairs of eyes.
“Sorry, Sensei. Garou’s rules.” Hado clapped her hands apologetically with a nervous smile.
Even though he was wearing his gas mask, all the seniors could tell that Snipe was not pleased. His slumped posture and heavy sighing was enough to tell them that.
“Oh! Aniki said that lunch will be prepared again! Move quick or you will not eat!” Ghin added.
The three teachers began to walk in the direction of the mountain, grumbling to themselves as they did so. The three classes watched their respective teachers walk off into the forest.
“...Do the teachers need to walk every time?”
Claudette asked the boy atop of the pale blue wolf.
“It’s called conditioning! The first day is the worst day!” Ghin shouted from atop in response.
1-A agreed with that. They’d only been up at Garou’s dojo for a single day and most of them were battered from the trek alone. Glancing up at Ghin, Tamaki felt noticeably more nervous with the large crowds of students around him. The desire to hide himself was extremely strong.
“Do you want a ride? Or should I leave you all alone?” Ghin asked.
“C-can we have a ride? P-please?”
Tamaki stammered out, trying to get the attention of the silver haired boy riding the wolf. The numerous gazes that shifted to Tamaki made him want to hide even more.
“Down, boy! Down!” Ghin started whistling as the wolf whinnied before lying flat on his belly. Hati did the same with a few gruffs, both waiting for the classes to get on.
1-A moved first, beginning to climb up the fur of Skoll’s. Following their actions, the Third Years went next. Everything that was happening was so… bizarre to them. Finally, 1-B collectively approached the side of the Hati and begun climbing her fur.
Much like last time, 1-A seated themselves on the top of Skoll, grabbing handfuls of fur to anchor themselves. Seeing the actions of their juniors, the Third Years all replicated their actions.
“Everyone, let me introduce to Garou’s first disciple. Meet Young Ghin. The man took him in way before his debut when he was Quirkless haha.” Mirio introduced the energetic boy who was sitting on Skoll’s head cross legged humming to himself.
“Wait… so he isn’t Garou’s kid?”
A male voice came from amidst the Third Years, clearly shocked and confused. The assumption that most of the class held was shattered in a moment.
“Aniki will kill you all for presuming.” Ghin mentioned without looking back.
“At least tell us… are you related to him in any way?”
The same male voice spoke up again, speaking for the confused Third Years.
“Nope,” Ghin denied toot sweet.
Mirio, Tamaki and Hado could barely suppress their laughter at their class’ befuddlement. They would be far more shocked by the end of the day. Even 1-A was a little surprised that the Third Years knew so little about Garou. Didn’t they share a class with him?
“...Are there any of Garou’s ‘students’ up there today?”
The familiar voice of Izuku drew the attention of a few as he questioned Ghin.
“Endeavour, Ryukyu, Gang Orca, and… Midnight I think.” Ghin counted the heroes present finger by finger.
“””Eh?”””
Hearing the sheer number of famous Heroes with Garou, the Third Years all blinked in confusion. They knew that Garou chose to train people, but to train so many famous Heroes… Anxiety and anticipation began to fill the hearts of the seniors. They now were wondering exactly what kind of man Garou was.
“You will soon meet Aniki himself once you reach the top. Prepare to be mind blown. Both figuratively. And very literally.” Ghin snickered as the sight of the mountain grew closer and closer.
The three classes all swayed along with each step the giant wolves would take. The rustling of leaves came from far below them, amongst the green canopy. As they approached the mountain, they could feel a chill wind begin to push at them. As they closed in, the Third Years caught sight of a giant pillar of stairs, seemingly carved into a huge rock face.
The moment they saw the stairs, the two wolves stopped.
“Now get off. And climb.” Ghin ordered the third years as he pointed to the stairs.
Kaminari stared at the large flight of stairs again, gulping at the sight of the height. He then looked at Hati, gulping much more audibly.
“...Are you going to lower us down again?”
Kaminari shivered as he cast his eyes between the two giant wolves. He didn’t really want to be placed in the mouth of the giant predator again. Neither did a few other members of 1-A, as well as 1-B as well.
“What do you think? Either that or you get off. Or I’ll make them swallow you this time.” Ghin threatened back without hesitation.
The electric Quirk user sighed in resignation. His jacket had been practically ruined last time. As Kaminari waited for the inevitable, he lowered his head almost in defeat. The rest of the First Years were not looking forwards to climbing those stairs again.
The Third Years continued gaping at the huge carved amount of stairs. It must have taken months to carve those there. The diminutive Ran glanced around at his fellow Third Years, noticing something.
“Uhh. We’re one short. Where is Bang?”
Mirio, Hado and Tamaki all had knowing looks but remained silent. The rest of the class wondered where the silver-haired classmate was. He didn’t seem like the kind of person to miss out on a meeting with the Hero-Hunter himself.
Slowly, the head of Hati rose to face the students seated on Skoll’s back. Grimacing, Kaminari could see the familiar sight of the huge jaws approaching him. Just like last time, Hati began to lower the members of 1-A to the ground. The Third Years watched as their juniors were being ferried to the ground via the maw of a giant wolf.
“Eh?”
“Are you serious?”
Eventually came their own turn. None of them particularly relished the idea, but if it was needed to reach the ground then they’d go along with it.
“ASDSOJGSIFSDUJFSUSJDFISDF!!!~!” Tomara, one of the Third Years, started babbling the moment he saw the giant teeth.
The rest of the seniors watched as the jaws of the large predator gently closed over the babbling Tomara. Slowly, Hati began to lower him to the ground, dropping him alongside the First Years. One by one, the class was ferried to the ground.
“Woah wait!”
“Stop! My clothes’ll get ruined!”
“This looks exciting!”
The individual Third Year students each had their own reaction to the mouth of the wolf clamping over them. Hado, Mirio and Tamaki watched with amusement as their classmates were carried unceremoniously by Garou’s pet.
“Now climb, weaklings!” Ghin demanded as he pointed at the stairs.
Despite the distance between him and the group of students on the ground, his voice carried along the wind.
“Uggghhh. I’m starting to have stair trauma.”
Ashido, like the rest of the First Years, seemed to sag at the mention of climbing the stairs once again. Their legs still bore aches from the previous climb.
“Again? You’ve got to be fuckin’ kidding me.…”
Bakugou grimaced as he glared at the carved spire. He quickly cast his eyes over to the distant form of the first disciple of Garou.
“This… will not be pleasant.”
Despite having already climbed the stair the previous day, Shouto felt like today would be considerably worse than the day before. After all, their legs were still aching from their previous trek. The first they had climbed, they had no aching legs.
*Ugggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
“Ahahahahahahahaha!” Ghin laughed the moment the First Years came into view.
Class 1-A and 1-B, they were almost reduced to being zombies as they slowly reached the top of the stairs.
The Third Years looked significantly worse than the Pro Heroes had the first time they’d come up the stairs, but better than the First Years on their first time. They were all panting and wheezing, some distance away from the exit. Hado, Tamaki and Mirio didn’t seem to be too affected in comparison to their classmates.
“Ahahahahaha! Hahaha…. Hahah… hah. It never gets old.” Ghin wiped a tear from his eye as he smiled at the zombie horde, almost as if proud of conditioning them.
Much like Snipe had, the First Years almost had to drag themselves forwards. Groaning and grumblings filled the air as both 1-A and 1-B made their way to the top.
*AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
A sudden scream as a figure flew from behind the incomplete building that was Garou’s dojo. Landing in front of Shouto, was Endeavour, face planting the ground.
“““...eh?”””
The Third Years all seemed to stop wheezing and panting out of shock, seeing the current Number One Hero come flying out of the sky like that. Endeavour heaved himself up from his undignified position, sighing heavily. As he was in the middle of standing up, he noticed the dozens of students all staring at him.
“...You are the Third Years?”
Endeavour quickly attempted to distract the crowd of students from his unceremonious landing a few moments before. He noticed Shouto staring at him incredulously. He merely nodded once to his son in acknowledgement.
“They’re all here to meet Garou.”
Mirio spoke up for his bewildered class who was completely taken back by the series of events that had occurred.
“Oh… he is in the backyard.” Endeavour tersely informed as another figure came flying from behind the dojo.
*aaaaaAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH*
The screaming figure later identified as Gang Orca loudly crashed besides Endeavour, the Whale Man landing on the top of his head, and collided with the hot, hard ground.
As Gang Orca attempted to stand, he noticed his dorsal fin atop his head had been firmly lodged into the ground. Repeated attempts didn’t help. Sighing in frustration, he suddenly noticed the students, along with Endeavour. And they were all staring at him.
“......”
An uncomfortable level of awkwardness settled in over the area. Most of the Third Years only knew Gang Orca as the mock Villain during their exams, unflinching and powerful. Yet here he was, stuck in the ground at the hands of probably Garou.
“D-Do you need a hand?”
Tamaki offered to the embedded Hero. They could tell that Gang Orca wasn’t too happy about being seen in such a manner.
“.........................yes.” He accepted with great reluctance.
Strolling over to Gang Orca, Tamaki grabbed ahold of both of the Pro Hero’s shoulders. With one mighty heave, he lifted the Hero clean out of the ground. Stepping back Tamaki glanced over at his class. If they weren’t so shocked, they’d probably be rolling on the ground laughing.
“...Thank you.”
The Hero sheepishly thanked Tamaki. Wishing to avoid any more harm to his reputation, he quickly turned and headed off in the direction he had flown over from.
“...ahahahahahahahah!” The young disciple bursted out laughing as he rolled over the ground, clutching his stomach.
Even Tamaki, Hado and Mirio all could barely suppress their own laughter, large grins obvious on their faces. The corner of Endeavour’s mouth had hitched up ever so slightly. It was barely perceivable to most, but Shouto noticed it instantly.
“...Should we go meet Garou then?”
Endeavour addressed the Third Years. They were the only ones in a fit state to even do so with 1-A and 1-B both lying on the ground, panting their lungs out.
“O-Ohh… yes.” Claudette answered for the class, shaken out of her stupor. The top heroes idolized in Japan were treated so… abusively. It paradoxically contradicted idealized image of top heroes training under The Hero Hunter.
Turning to leave, Endeavour led the way for the seniors. Hado, Mirio and Tamaki followed closely behind. The Third Years were also shocked by how casual the former ‘Big Three’ were acting. It was like everything they were seeing was simply another day. Even the shy Tamaki had easily lifted Gang Orca out of the ground.
Slowly, one by one, each and every one of the Third Years followed the four, leaving the zombified First Years behind as they entered the humble abode of the Demon. Entering what seemed to be the lobby, it was unfinished as the roof was still absent, but the flooring was completed. The square lobby was large and spacious, with three more doorways at their left, right and front.
Entering through the front, they entered what seemed to be a Gym judging by the amount of wooden training dummies stacked to one wall in close packs. Continuing onwards, they exited to the backyard seeing…
Bang surrounded by the downed bodies of two heroines, both beaten and slightly bruised, while half of Gang Orca’s upper body was buried into the stone. Their fellow Third Year turned towards them, and waved his hand in greeting.
“Yo.”
““““....Bang?””””
More than a few of the seniors furrowed their brow at seeing Bang here. He hadn’t come up with them. Had he arrived earlier?
“Wrong. My name’s Garou,” ‘Bang’ corrected.
“““Eh?”””
Hearing the sudden ‘reveal’ of his identity, most of the Third Years were still staring at ‘Bang’ with disbelief. It seemed like a big, bad joke. Maybe Garou would appear out of some corner of the room, laughing at them.
“Everyone… meet Garou, Bang is his nickname. The most evil man on Earth,” Mirio introduced with a wide grin on his face.
Now that Mirio had confirmed it, the faces of the Third Years all collectively slackened. Shock and fear was obvious on all of their faces. A loud thud came from the back of the group as one girl collapsed to the ground, fainting as the shock had been too much.
“Please, I am more than just evil.” Garou gave his class a wide smirk.
“I am downright insidious,” He corrected.
Whilst Garou, Hado, Mirio and Tamaki all shared a large grin at the expense of their class, the group of seniors all rendered silent. The reveal seemed beyond their capacity to process and had overloaded their minds. They had been studying with Garou for weeks unaware?
“How does it feel to know you studied with a wolf in sheep’s clothing this entire time?” Garou asked wanting to hear their reactions with a very damnable grin on his face.
“...What? Why? How?”
Ran was equally as stunned as the rest of his class. Those three words were the questions that everyone now had. They just didn’t understand.
“Yes, yes. Keep it up. It amuses me,” Garou nodded wanting more.
“Eh… wha… I…” Claudette seemingly short-circuited as she collapsed to her knees, her mind on the verge of shutting down.
“.......”
Even the usually energetic and boisterous Susumu stared at their silver-haired ‘classmate’, mouth agape.
“Oh, and as for you… how dare you call me scrawny. I'll show you scrawny.” Garou pointed at the giant teenager.
No one knew how to properly respond. The fact that such a dangerous person had been so close to them the entire time boggled their minds. And how had he even enrolled?
“...Are you even our age?”
Ran momentarily shook himself out of his shock, still staring at the smirking form of what was once ‘Bang’.
“I'm eighteen. I will pay you all back for calling me old,” Garou replied, his smirk changed to a frown.
Another thud came from the middle of the group, another girl fainting. Coincidentally, this was also the girl that had asked about a ‘Ms. Garou’. Judging by the pale faces of the Third Years, the rest of the class looked ready to join her on the ground unconscious.
“Anyways, take your time processing this. I'll enjoy your reactions until then.” Garou smiled again as the two groaning heroines slowly picked themselves up.
“...Is this your class?”
Ryukyu pointed at the stunned crowd of students, groaning slightly as she raised her arm. Her body was still throbbing and aching from the beating.
“Yes. I am drinking their suffering right now. Don't ruin my moment.”
“Urrggh… That doesn’t sound very Heroic…”
Midnight rose next, clutching one of her bruised arms. She looked in slightly worse condition that Ryukyu.
One by one, the Third Years had all begun to fall onto their rears, seating themselves as they took in everything. They all looked like the truth of the world had been revealed to them. Mirio, Hado and Tamaki could all feel a tinge of sympathy towards their class. It was only natural to be so shocked at the reveal of Garou.
“How long have you three known?!” Pointing a trembling finger, Claudette demanded Mirio, Tamaki, and Hado.
The Third Years now rested in what seemed to be the living room, which was large as hell and full of empty space. No television, just a tatami mat for flooring.
“A few months I’d say.”
Mirio shrugged, attempting to remember exactly when Garou had arrived in their classroom. When everything had changed.
“Why didn't you tell us?” Tomara asked also pointing a finger at them, feeling betrayed.
“W-we couldn’t. Garou kept us quiet on threat of death.”
Tamaki added from besides Mirio, his eyes turned away from the large number of his classmates before him.
“Are you serious? Why? Why now? Are you telling me that he did it on purpose so he can enjoy our reactions like Satan himself?” Claudette asked for her class as they all nodded in agreement with her.
“Yep!”
Hado nodded with her usual smile on her face. Garou was still enjoying his classmates’ shock and surprise. He really was pretty cruel.
“Once you’re around him long enough, you get to know him. That’s one of the things he enjoys.”
“That's pure evil.” Another male student uttered.
“Sinister.” Claudette added.
“And to think we thought he was cool,” Another one muttered.
“...I think he still kinda is…”
Despite the shock, Susumu was impressed by the actions of both ‘Bang’ and Garou, even if they were the same person.
Another period of silence dawned the room.
“......is he really eighteen?” Claudette asked wanting to make sure.
“Yeah. We were just as shocked when we first learned.”
Mirio smiled as he remembered the first time he saw Garou enter the classroom. At the sight of the Hero-Hunter, Mirio had been immediately put on edge. Who would have thought that a few months later that they’d all be close friends?
“.......and he defeated All Might at the age of eighteen…” Another student dropped his jaw as it all sunk in. Garou was the avatar of all things that defies common sense.
“Holy shit…” Tomara cursed lightly in response.
“Garou is still a nice person though.”
Hado seemed convinced of that fact as she attempted to convince her classmates likewise. They simply hadn’t spent enough time with him.
“Nice? How? Doesn't he still hunt heroes?” Claudette asked accusingly.
Cocking his head to one side, Mirio narrowed his eyes at the foreign girl.
“Haven’t you seen the news? Garou is a Hero now. He doesn’t go after Heroes anymore.”
Mirio was a little surprised by how out-of-date this girl was with her information. Garou hadn’t actively hunted any Heroes for months at least.
“........................................................................error.” Claudette grabbed her head as she tried to process everything that is happening. Her brain cannot keep up.
“I’d be glad that Garou wasn’t more cruel towards you. I mean, he’s heard everything negative you’ve said in class about the ‘Hero-Hunter’.”
It was strange that Garou hadn’t attempted any form of cruel retribution towards the girl. He usually didn’t like being insulted and demeaned.
“.......could you all protect me in case he gets me back?” She asked meekly.
“M-Maybe you should apologise?”
Tamaki didn’t really want to get in the way of someone Garou was after. He wasn’t capable of changing Garou’s mind, unlike Hado.
“......will he accept?” She squeaked. The high-class girl was completely and utterly terrified.
Cupping his chin, Mirio began to think of whether Garou would possibly accept an apology from Claudette after all she’d said about him.
“Hmmm, maybe if you beg. Maybe he’d accept. But then he’d probably choose to punish you with something less severe.”
“...how less?” Claudette asked hopefully.
Pursing his lips, Mirio continued to think. This girl seemed genuinely worried and Mirio did feel that an apology might be right way to go. And he didn’t want to see his classmate so distraught, even if she did bring it upon herself.
“...For example, instead of a beating every day, it would be a beating every two days. That’s the extent of his mercy.”
Placing one hand on Claudette’s shoulder, Hado stared down at the worried classmate with a determined look.
“Don’t worry. I’ll help you. I’ll try to convince him.”
“You'll work in my dojo from now on.” Garou pointed at Claudette, stating his ultimatum.
Claudette, along with Mirio, Hado and Tamaki all stared at Garou. They had attempted to convince him to go easy on the foreign girl. Hado had even attempted her wide eyed stare at Garou. Eventually, he had relented.
“That doesn’t sound too bad.”
Hado smiled widely, proud of the fact that she had helped her classmate.
“It is. She will carry stuff up here. Up. Here.” Garou made emphasis on that, reminding them of the arduous trek she must cover.
“Isn’t that still a little much for some insults?”
Mirio frowned slightly, still unsure whether or not Garou’s ‘mercy’ was something that even existed.
“That is for calling me a thug and calling me old. I'll never let that go. I'll make sure she'll be a zombie for a few days.” Garou replied.
Claudette whimpered at the thought of becoming a zombie like the First Years.
Mirio frowned disapprovingly at his silver-haired friend. Garou seemed to blowing the whole thing out of proportion.
“I mean, some of your other classmates insulted you as well. I don’t see you going as far with them.”
Even Hado was coming to the defence of the foreign girl. Pointing a finger at the whimpering Claudette, she frowned.
“Can’t you let her go? She apologised.”
“....” Garou narrowed his eyes at her.
“Give me one good reason why?”
“M-My family stands with great wealth and has connections! I-If you spare me, I can do anything for you!” Claudette pleaded as she attempted bribery.
“…there is one thing…” Garou smirked. He recalled his need to sell the diamonds he collected from the Diamond Skull monster. He needed a buyer.
“But that would be for later. Come. The squirt made lunch for you all. And the gunslinger would be here about… now.”
*Uggggghhhhh*
Groans echoed from the entrance, signaling the arrival of their teachers.
“Ah, there they are. Go into the living room without me.” Garou said as he left to greet the zombies.
Three zombies entered the dojo, dragging their feet into the hot roofless room. Garou never had the gall to install air conditioners as despite it being fall, the mountain was hot as hell.
Snipe, Vlad King and Eraserhead looked in an even worse state than the day prior. They truly did look like walking corpses. Sweat trickled from every part of their body, dripping onto the floor. They all looked as if they were ready to collapse at the slightest breeze.
The only places with roofs built were the living room and the kitchen. Everywhere else was roofless, leaving the sun unobstructed to cook the residents’ skins.
“Welcome back. You’re just in time for lunch.” Garou said as he walked into the draped entrance leading to the living room.
The three exhausted teachers merely staggered after him. Hado, Mirio and Tamaki all stared at the three teachers with something approaching pity. They would get used to the trek. Once they could walk the whole distance and then climb the stairs, their stamina would be leagues above their current reserves.
In the living room…
“I still don’t like feeding you all.” Ghin, wearing an apron and holding a ladle in his hand, pouted at the class surrounding the plates of various cuisines laid before them.
As the classes all sat down awaiting their food, a familiar feeling came over the room. It was only familiar however, to the First Years, the Pro Heroes and the former ‘Big Three’. A sense of competition and defensiveness over the food. It was every man for themselves when it came to it.
“I better see clean plates by the time you’re all done. Or I will use the Death Star on you.” Ghin threatened.
1-A all stiffened as they sat. None of them wanted to have to undergo another of Ghin’s ‘final moves’, especially one that had ‘Death’ in its name. The last one could have killed them all.
The Third Years had mostly recovered from the reveal of Bang’s identity. Mostly. They were all still a little dreamy as they moved around, unsure about what to believe now.
“Anyways eat up. I now have to feed Aniki’s class, so expect more food coming.” Ghin grumbled as he returned to the kitchen.
Dumplings ladened with brown sauce assorted in a circle, three bowls of salads, plates of Takoyaki, a large plate of aromatic smoked brown steak uncut, seasoned pork cutlets with dipping sauce, four identical plates of different fishes, fried sliced potatoes, and much more were laid before them. And a bigger hot pot, this time the bowl was made of clay… the classes wondered if the bowl was handmade since it was a little too big to be sold in the markets. There were also several pots of rice there for the students as well.
Almost immediately, each and every person in the room all clutched their utensils. None of them were willing to give up their food, especially after the truly grueling climb. Even the Heroes were acting strangely defensive of the food they had eyed.
Izuku lunged for the dumplings the moment Bakugou laid his eyes on it, taking three before his best friend could touch one.
“You little shit!” Bakugou cursed as he took four before Deku’s chopstick touched another.
“Sorry, Kacchan! First come, first serve!”
“I’ll kill you for that!”
Izuku began to eye for more food, prepared to lunge for it at the slightest movement from Bakugou. He refused to be robbed of his food the second time.
Ashido now wrestled with Kirishima for the knife to cut the steak.
“It’s not manly for you to take so much meat!” Kirishima roared as he struggled to reach the only cutting knife next to the steak.
“Oh yeah? Well it isn’t manly to not offer me any first!”
The pink-skinned girl was also attempting to reach the same knife, constantly bumping shoulders with her red-haired friend.
“I need it more!” The red-haired brawler retorted in their struggle.
Both Mirio and Tamaki were glaring at each other. The previous day’s ‘duel’ was fresh in their mind. They both eyed one of the nearby plates of Takoyaki. With a blur of movement, Mirio’s chopsticks lashed out towards a large piece of particularly juicy meat. However, a ‘clacking’ noise alerted Mirio that his friend had blocked him with his own utensils.
“I’m not letting you get there first this time.”
Tamaki grinned at his friend, not backing down. Neither was Mirio as he grinned in response. Their chopsticks trembled from the amount of force being put into them.
Kaminari fought with Jiro, both of them fighting for the pork cutlets with their forks.
“I called dibs!” Kaminari roared.
“Back off! I called this one!”
Jiro shouted in response. They both jostled, trying to hoard the lion’s share.
Tokoyami and Shoji were also fighting a battle of their own, Dark Shadow and Shoji’s elongated arms picking on the potato slices laced with ketchup.
“Shoji, it is an honor to duel with you.” Tokoyami said as he managed to take half of the potatoes while Shoji took the other half.
Mineta and Ojiro were fighting over noodles, clashing chopsticks and tearing the ropes of aromatic noodles apart.
“Mineta, I saw this first! Hands off!” Ojiro warned as he wrapped his tail around Mineta and lifted him up and away from his dish.
“Screw off! I need something!”
The grape-haired boy glared down at his classmate with furious eyes. He held his fork in one hand and one of his purple grape-esque balls in the other.
Yaoyorozu was now fighting with Tooru and Uraraka over the curry sauce and rice bowls.
“Tooru, that’s not fair! We can’t even see your hands!”
Uraraka frowned at the invisible girl. Each and every time she went for a bowl, it was lifted into the air seemingly out of nowhere. Of course, once you noticed the floating school uniform behind it, as well as the giggling schoolgirl, it became clear why.
“Well, what about Momo?”
One of the floating sleeves of Tooru’s pointed over towards the Class President.
Taking full advantage of her Quirk, Yaoyorozu conjured longer handled spoons and forks. All the while hoarding the bowls of rice and curry sauce left by Ghin, literally taking entire plates for herself.
Ryukyu and Midnight were both dueling over a place at the hot pot. The two female Heroes had the fire of determination in their eyes.
“Midnight, I hope you know I do respect you.”
The 18+ Rated Hero glared at Ryukyu. Neither were willing to give up their place. Especially Midnight who had taken the worse beating from Garou.
“If you respect me so much, then maybe you could give up your seat?”
“I’m afraid I’m particularly starved. I can’t afford that.”
As his sluggish, exhausted arm reached out for a serving of rice, Vlad King noticed a long piece of what looked like a pale scarf wrapping around the bowl and yanked it away. Turning to Aizawa who now held the bowl in his hands, Vlad King sighed heavily.
“We’re all equally exhausted. Can’t we just share the food instead of fighting over it?”
“What makes you think there will be some left to share?” Aizawa pointed at the chaos around them, plates rapidly being emptied around them.
Just then, exiting the draped entrance of the kitchen, Ghin arrived with two large plates in hand.
“Seafood special coming!” Ghin shouted as he walked over to the rowdy first years, and set down plates of lobster and giant crabs before them. There was even a butter on the side for them to apply flavor to the meat. The kid then returned to the kitchen, leaving the steaming crustaceans for the exhausted teachers.
As he glared down at the plates of steaming seafood, Vlad King quickly glanced over at his fellow teachers. The aroma of cooked crustaceans reached his nose, the sweet scent melting the vestiges of the idea of ‘sharing’ in Vlad. Without pause he lashed out, attempting to bring the plate closer to himself.
“Mine!” Two forks jammed into two of the lobsters in the plate, before yanking them away. Turning his head, Vlad saw Gang Orca munching on the red shells and meat of the lobster at the same time.
Snipe took some of the crab from the plate and broke it apart, then took the butter and slathered it over the meat with his knife.
Vlad quickly began eating the remaining lobster, tearing it apart with his hands before Snipe or Aizawa could take it from him.
The Third Years were not as aggressive when it came to their food. They all watched as the room around them descended into sheer anarchy. The main reason the Third Years weren’t fighting amongst themselves were that they were still taking everything that was going on.
“...Did Garou lace the food?”
As he sat there with fork in hand, Ran could barely believe the level of aggression coming from the rest of the students and Heroes. He wasn’t the only one who was shocked.
Hesitantly, Tomara took a bowl of rice and curry, slathering the sauce over the white rice and scooped a bite via chopstick.
“…holy crap, it’s good.” Tomara commented before he started munching with abandon.
With her height, Susumu could clearly see everyone in the room. However, as she glanced around the room, there was one person she couldn’t find. The one person she’d expect to be here.
“...Where’s Garou?”
Claudette looked around, not seeing the man anywhere.
“Could… is he eating somewhere else?” She guessed as she blinked.
Craning his neck, even Ran began to join the two other Third Years in looking around the room.
“And now that you mention it, Hado isn’t sitting with Mirio or Tamaki.”
“They’re gonna find out, Aniki. You should stop eating alone like this.” Ghin lectured his Sensei.
“Eh, they won’t. They’re too busy dealing with their stomachs to care.”
“I’m serious. What will you do if they find out you’re a lady killer?” Ghin pouted.
“...fine, go back squirt. I’ll deal with this tomorrow.”
Still pouting, Ghin returned inside the kitchen, leaving Hado and Garou alone with their private lunch.
Hado had only just stopped her laughing at Ghin’s concern. Smiling at Garou, she cocked one eyebrow.
“...Ladykiller?”
“Shut up. It’s something the shrimp coined. Don’t call me that. Ever.”
Seeing Garou suddenly get so defensive, Hado smiled even wider. As she nodded in acknowledgement, she could hear the din coming from the inside. It was even louder than last time.
Meanwhile…
“Shouto. You’ve grown daring to rebel against your father. Learn your place and yield.” Endeavour warned his son as they fought over grilled yakitori.
“...You have gotten used to the climb up those stairs. We have not. Allow me this plate, old man.”
Shouto glared over at his father, reaching out for one of the yakitori skewers. The aromatic smell of the sizzling meat only incited their fighting spirits.
“I refuse. I need it to sustain myself during his conditioning. You are here to watch how we fight as spectators.” The Number One Hero rebuked as he tugged on the skewer harder.
Shouto refused to relent however. His grip on his end of the skewer only increased as the father and son continued playing tug of war over the skewered meat.
Iida and Satou were fighting over tempura. Whatever Ghin used to make this delectable dish, they did not know, but it smelled gorgeous enough for even the most timid and disciplined of Class 1-A to fight over it.
“You must still feel dizzy from using your Quirk yesterday. Having so much food would be bad for you.”
Iida’s chopsticks clinged to one piece of battered seafood.
“Oh, no no. It is because I was nauseous that I need it more. To supplement my loss of nutrients. Plus, it isn't sweet.” Satou denied as he clinged to his end of the large shrimp harder.
As they both pulled on their respective sides of the piece of seafood, the shrimp broke in half with a loud ‘crunch’, causing both to fall backwards.
“Ahh, my tempura!” Satou cried as his piece almost fell onto the tatami mat floor, landing on the edge of his dish.
Aoyama and Sero now dueled over Unagi, japanese grilled eel as the sparkler of Class 1-A fought with the tapeman, fork and chopstick jammed in the meat, both waiting for the other to make the first move.
“Hey, I saw this piece first! Show some class!”
Sero gritted his teeth as he kept his chopstick firmly buried within the meat, pinning it in position.
“Non non! This eel is too dazzling to let go!” Aoyama shook his head frantically as he they stood still in a cuisine equivalent of a mexican standoff.
Tsuyu and Koda… warmly shared their dishes with each other while the others duked it all out in all out war. They were the only ones unaffected by the competitive atmosphere, that and no one wanted to hurt Kota with their selfishness.
With his chopsticks nearing the hotpot, Monoma leered at 1-A once again.
“Fighting again? How shamefu-”
Before he could finish however, his nearby classmates, including a smirking Kendo, dug their chopsticks and emptied the hotpot in seconds.
“Wha-”
He stared at his classmates, stunned by their sudden theft. There was absolutely nothing left for him to take.
“What? We’re hungry. And you're too slow.” Kendo smiled as she ate sukiyaki before the shocked form of Monoma.
The room had become a full on battle ground. Teacher dueled against teacher, student against student. It was a cacophony of clashing utensils and arguments as each person tried to hoard share. All the while two lovebirds peacefully had lunch outside.
