Outlander season 2 episode 10 'Prestonpans' REACTION

Comments

they are indeed changing small bits in history but the big outcome stays the same wich sucks because i wanted them to change history.... THO there were indeed some WTF moments in both 11, 12 and 13 ;-) wich you will probably enjoy alot haha. Oh really ? that is indeed pretty sad to learn more from a tv show then from lessons on school. Maybe schools could go show Outlander in history lessons ;-)

Yes, Prestonpans was really won by the Scots because they had the element of surprise. Despite the time-travel part of the show and obviously Jamie and Claire's involvement etc, they've kept as much to real historical events as possible and obviously Bonnie Prince Charlie was a real person, as were Sullivan and Murray his real advisers. From this point, Jamie and Claire are hoping to change even just one tiny thing from history in the hope that it will change the eventual outcome. That's one of the enjoyable things about Outlander, although it's a fictional story, it does revolve around real history and real people. As a Scot, I've learned more about Scottish history from reading Outlander than I ever did in school, which is pretty sad. Some great moments in eps 11 and 12 but can't wait for your WTF? reactions in ep 13 LOL.

Oh really ? Thats crazy! So this battle would have been won anyway ? As in historically ? Pretty crazy that if that guy was not believed and they would have returned home they would have changed history ? Internal bleeding i think indeed would have been fatal i think Angus just wanted to survive long enough then to see his brother survive. Strong scene

No problem. Got it. It might interest you to know that Richsrd Anderson, the guy who led the Scots through the meadows was a real person and because of him, the Scots were able to win at the battle of Prestonpans (btw no fancy pronunciation it's just Press-ton-pans). I don't think Claire could have done anything fof Angus even if she'd known from the start that he was bleeding internally. Maybe in a modern hospital he could have been saved, but not then.
