What if you make a YouTube channel that has the 'new' name, to literally demarcate the Safe For Work/Sleep Aid/Positivity audios ("Your Evening Cup of Tea" would theoretically work in that case), but retain TeacupAudio as your 'normal' audio name/producer name for script writing etc? And hey, that gives a wider path for the 'Pinch of Positivity' things you do too <3 =============== Wow... This is a tricky one... Mainly because I was taught long ago that one does not change a product/brand/company name unless you have practically no choice... ...But considering the amount of nonsense you have to keep battling with the platform providers, if the TeacupAudio name is literally being targeted (as seems to happen to many), a name change would make sense... My Autism mind is kind-of spinning out from that paradox. What I seem to remember is that, for all the trials you've faced, TeacupAudio does still have VERY positive connotations in the ASMR/Roleplay community as far as I know, it's just that YouTube/Patreon/etc have bizarre priorities about their censorships and terms of service that keeps hurting, right..? ......No matter which path you choose, I (and I suspect many others) openly support it <3 Thank you for not giving up, especially in the face of adversity :-) :-)

I’ve seen different channels get away with much more, practically breaking tos. I feel like someone there just has a bias towards this channel. A rebrand might help. Though if there’s someone or a group of someones out to get you, they might eventually find the channel anyway despite the new name. Cause I doubt it’s just an AI algorithm that keeps taking down channels. Either there’s people with a grudge who keep reporting you or someone working for YouTube just decided they didn’t want you on the platform. But hopefully I’m wrong and a rebrand leads to a stable channel with a stable flow of income. I’m partial to the name “Freshly Brewed Sweetness” myself despite being a mouthful. Still stays within the coffee/tea realm without directly using coffee or tea derivatives in the name.

Given the type of content here, channels like this tend to grow through the recommended page or homepage as opposed to word of mouth or link sharing. YouTube is how a lot of people including myself even found Teas content in the first place, so I believe the best move would be to do whatever secures us a consistent channel on YouTube without getting taken down.

For me it was just boom and some of my faved vids gone. No idea why, where You went, what happened, etc. Also, I see it as a brand, associated with high quality audios and certain soundscape design so, I voted against the change. Besides, honestly, I can't see what's so beneficial about name changing. I mean - if You want to move to something completely new in terms of subject and/or method of storytelling, cutting off Your past You don't want to be associated with anymore, might be a good idea. Other than that? Same visibility and same nuking from YT bots You were eager to ragef*ck a while ago, no matter how You gonna call Yourself.

I have to say, if you think rebranding might give you a chance to have a channel on YouTube or wherever else you want without it being pretty much IMMEDIATELY taken down, I think it would be worth a try to rebrand. Maybe something like Sweet Tea Audio, because you're Tea and you're very sweet and caring. Or the ones you recommended are also very good.

Your listener base will always rediscover or will follow immediately. I personally took time away and was happy to find my way back to the TeaCup "cabinet" if you will. I know friends that have had to rebuild and rebrand 3-5 times in as many years. So whatever your decision is Tea your followers and listeners will always find you again and as long as you love making content we will drink it up.

Though a rebrand may help with youtube bots its hard to say as the algorithm for these things change so often. Could be worth a trial period if you think its not a massive difficulty to undo once done. ( Really difficult call just my input as someone who works in the online SEO/ online advertising sector).

Stay if you want to build on the legal concept of “goodwill”: you have a core base of loyal listeners that generates more value than the product in isolation.
