Real Talk ❤️

Real talk, should I change jobs? I keep feeling like I'm not good at enough, lacking motivation, feeling anxious and depressed, but I also have no idea what else I'd do and know that I am ridiculously lucky in having a job at all. Appreciate you listening to my neurotic drivel.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who can answer this question, but right now, I'm struggling. So, any helpful thoughts would be most appreciated.

I just feel like an ungrateful hobgoblin who can't land on anything.

Real Talk ❤️

I hate my job currently and its making me me feel just as awful as when I was in college, but who's to say the next one wont be worse? I might not appreciate what I have but im sticking with the devil I know since the pay is alright.

Karl Wikman

If you are asking if you are 'good enough', you are. You've been doing this for years and only getting better. We hear your effort and creativity in every audio. Don't ask 'Am I good enough'. That question is answered. You are, and you deserve your success. Never let the imposter syndrome get to you. The only person you have answer to about your next step is you. If you love this and it works for you? Keep at it. Nothing is stopping you from doing this and experimenting with other passions on the side. If you're burnt out or just thinking about doing other things, that is your choice and I hope the best for you. Any person in the course of their career is allowed to shift, to change, and to move on. You are only answerable to you and there is nothing selfish about choosing a new career or passion. I love your work. It's meant a lot to me over a number of years now. I'm genuinely grateful for the number of anxiety or panic attacks your work has helped me through. So, whatever you choose, know that your work has helped more people than you think. Good art, even if meant for 'leisure' makes the world a better place, and you have made a lot of good stuff. At the end of all of it though, please speak to a doctor or therapist before any major choices or changes are made. Depression is a lying little bastard that is best tackled with friends, family, and professionals. If you would not shame or judge your friends or family for getting help, show yourself the same grace. I have nothing but prayers and well wishes for you. These times do end. You world does see the sun again. Show yourself the same kindness you would your loved ones until then.

Heightenvy

I'm just a random guy on the internet, but here is my two cents. If you are struggling with depression, it likely is best to avoid any decisions made during an episode, you aren't thinking rightly. You are incredibly talented and that is a fact. Sure luck may have played a part in getting you this far, but is isn't all luck. I guarantee that if you were just lucky, you wouldn't have such a large following lasting this long. Don't sell yourself short and don't rush to solutions. As they say, haste makes waste. You got this. Blessings

Ethan Sanders

Well why don’t you try looking at other asmr and their content i love dom gf or dom friend vids, doesn’t have to be nsfw well it could be both. We’ve felt that way before feeling not good enough at something we do. Im not sure how long you’ve been feeling this way but I would a bit and see if it continues. What matters most is your happiness do what you think is right use the words of your fans and see what you come up with

xDreadx

You can also voice other than ASMR. what about a dog's diary, or small funny stories the possibilities are endless. a little smile try to see ( YouTube: Sad Dog Diary, by Ze Frank)

Bill Pedersen

I don’t know the ins and outs of voice acting so I have no idea how hard it might actually be but you have an extensive resume and a lot of community approval. What are the odds you could audition for an anime, show or even video game? (If you haven’t don’t that already). That would be amazing to see! You’d defiantly be able to land one if you tried out! 😄

Anthony Lambros

We love you Tea. We really would like you to stay if you feel up to it. Your work is phenomenal.

Joseph Brown

If you burn out of the job you burn out, but if you feel like you're just not good enough, refer to your post from four days earlier. There's enough demand for your talents that you've provided above and beyond not only for your family but for the listeners needing that audio pick me up. You've got an amazing setup of working on your own terms but maybe it's worthwhile to expand your horizons with professional VA work or other projects. From what details you've posted, there seems to be opportunity for more traditional forms of work.

Ceeb

For what it's worth Tea, I think a lot of us here would agree you're a phenomenal VA. So good that we're down to throw our money at you to hear you talk. I was not one for the ASMR community and I still don't think I am, but you're the only one I do genuinely enjoy. Whilst I'd be sad to see you go, if you don't think it's for you, then try something new. At the end of the day, it's your life and your decision. I'd love to see more from you but you gotta look out for you at the end of the day, and I think we'd all understand that. I hope you get over the slump you're in and stick around the most tho.

The Moisturizer

If you're feeling unhappy/dissatisfied then maybe its time for a change but before I change in career maybe try a change in content something to either make you excited again or broaden your talent field as far as feeling like you're god at something I have heard alot of peoples recordings you are by far among the best and I know for a fact you have healed mine and many other peoples souls through your talent encouragement and genuine care much love

Baba the Bearzerker

I believe everyone has that feeling of not doing enough or that they are unsure about their current situation. Based on my time watching your videos when they were on YouTube and being a part of your Patreon, I can say that you do a lot more than you give yourself credit for. You post on Patreon several times a week which is more than most of the Patreons I subscribe to, and the posts you make are both entertaining and uplifting. There have been several days where I was feeling down and reading your Pinch of Positivity or listening to an audio gave me exactly what I needed in that moment. If you feel like you are called to make a change to your current path or if you decide to stay the course, then know that I'll support you either way.

Chad Schmaltz

I love the videos you make. Maybe just taking a break instead.

Ghostship1776

I think you're wonderful at this. We all get tired, though. Maybe consider a vacation, rather than a new career.

Aryk Strykker

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. Pay no mind to the faceless strangers, we are not long-awaited friends, you don't owe us anything. You are successful and your family is happy and safe, that should be all the encouragement you need.

Jim Sheridan

We are all struggling Teacup. that why we come to listen to your ASMR. They make those struggles bearable. I think you know that and you faith in that has been shaken by those horrible exit surveys. I found those exit surveys to be both unkind and unfair to you.

Andrew Nelson

Take a break Your work is first class and we appreciated, but you must take good care of yourself. Take a breather, walk the dogs. Do whatever makes you happy.

Bill Pedersen

Whatever you do, i support you.

That_dutch_guy

Hey Tea, I don't comment a lot but I thought I'd weigh in a little. First of all, you are an incredible VA that makes amazing and quality audios that so many love and enjoy, they brighten people's lives and can even make some of us feel less lonely, that's why we love you as a content creator and would hate to see you go. That being said, it is of course your life and us fans want you to lead a happy one. I feel like I suffer with problems similar to yours and sometimes I feel like giving everything up and moving away from it all, but you've got to try to look into the future and see how you'd feel without it then, that's why leaving might not be the answer. Then again it could be the answer and you might feel happier and more fulfilled doing something else, it's not an easy decision to make. Like others have suggested maybe a nice long month vacation would do you the world of good, help you see it all in a different light. I wish you the best Tea and sympathize that it's not an easy choice to make but I hope you do the thing that let's you live a joy-filled, lovely life because it's absolutely what you deserve.

Sinclair

There's a old saying "this to shall pass" things might seem rough right now like your trapped with no way out. That everything is wrong and it's your fault, that your worthless and no one likes you. That could not be farther from the truth we appreciate what you do and respect your decision no matter what it may be. Don't let your negative thoughts get to you be cause like the saying goes this to shall pass.

Grabnaur

I think you're doing well enough, i mean everyone here seems to agree as well. If anything i think it would be great for you to go on a vacation or maybe set this as a side gig and try a normal job if you'd like. Sure it wont be as profitable but its sure to give some new experiences which can be good for you. Ultimately its up to you Tea, you do amazing work and if you feel you need to step away from it all, i think most of us will understand. Hell we all have access to the google drive so it wouldnt be absurd to try and dig through the catalog and see some previously missed gems or enjoy a trip down memory lane with some series.

Drawnking547

It might not be what you want to read as I'm no motivational writer but I can share what keeps me going through life. All work is a grind. It matters not if you love or hate what you do. We as humans do work because we want something, be it satisfaction or to receive monetary value. Everlasting grind as a fundamental principle of work is never changing. We might want to coat it with pleasing language, happy outlook or delusions because truth is just harsh but more importantly it's not unjust. Work always rewards you approximately to how much you put into it but to see it and understand requires doing the hardest of tasks "self reflection". Only by self reflection can you understand the magnitude of an achievement that was your life and how empty the feeling of anxiety and depression is. For life is not about comparing yourself to your betters but seeing how greater one can be than yesterday's self was.

Jan Chojnacki

It may seem like a selfish answer, but you are an amazing VA and person with the way you treat and interact with your community. Not gonna lie but I would be upset if you were to stop making audios but at the same time I would understand and respect your decision. It might be a good idea to take some time away from audios just to rethink and meditate on what you want to do going forward. At the end of the day, your well being physically, mentally and emotionally should be and must be your number 1 priority.

Coco-nati

Sounds like you need a vacation. Take 2-4 weeks. It should be more clear which direction you'd want to go then.

rubynall

Im definitely no professional in advice but I would recommend taking a step back and going through these thoughts slowly and seeing if they make sense, thats usually how I deal with my depression and anxiety but what might work for me might not work for you. And if you are suffering from creative burn out I would recommend either looking back at concepts that went unused or were forgotten about. Or maybe try something else thats similar like character acting, whether or not it is for nsfw stuff or sfw stuff, that way you aren't going all the way back to square one

NuculearToast

Like change jobs to what? You're good at voice acting. You should stay

Jack manson

Not sure if this helps, but perhaps reach out to some people looking for VAs, I'm sure all your audious would make a wonderfull resume.

Heel

You bring a lot of light into our lives just by being who you are so whatever answer you find we will stand beside you.

Ice Ninja

If you want

Cooper Little

I know first hand that self esteem issues will follow you no matter what job you have. It’s something internal you have to confront within. It’s very tough but if you work on building self esteem and gaining a stronger sense of worth you’ll be much happier in any job you choose.

Vyra

If you feel like this now, will you not also feel like this in any other job? Answer that question first, and it may be more clear.

Paschar Araton

Sending you my bestest wishes Tea 💙💙 You rock

Mranqueetas

Honestly, I think you got a pretty great gig going on here. You've got a whole community of people that support and love the content you put out, despite your insecurities. I wouldn't give that up. But perhaps a different change is something that can be helped. Maybe getting a part-time job at a store, babysitting, dog walking, or something else may give you that feeling of satisfaction. Change doesn't necessarily mean quitting one thing for another, you can have both, you just gotta rebalance it to fit your life. I also don't think that would have too big of an effect on the audio and the audience who consumes them.

Dalton Remy

I would say take some time away, as long as you need to, do stuff that recharges you, body and soul, and come back and see if you still feel like it's not doing it for you. Even the greatest creative talents had to set their passion projects down for a while and come back to it later sometimes. You've got nothing to blame yourself for.

CalKDK

Hi random person here, I love your videos and advice. I think you are doing a great job and I’m happy to be apart of a supportive community. Maybe take some time for yourself

Ade

My experience has been that depression and anxiety have always followed me no matter where I go. And while I enjoy my current work despite its difficulties, it wasn't switching jobs that got me well. It was tending to my physical, mental, and spiritual health. That, not my specific circumstances, lead to change. And without that, any circumstance is impossible for me. We love what you're doing and are willing to pay the price you ask for it. You get better over time. It is enough for us. Don't base who and what you are, where you go, or what you do on what we think. You have to choose for yourself. And if this isn't t enough for you, I suggest you find out why before you jump ship. Perhaps it's not the reason(s) you think. Sometimes our minds play tricks on us when the volume's turned up high. My andwer was to get quiet and look within for truth, and there are many paths to that. Food for thought.

TheFireIron 357

I recently found a job I love. It is not the dream job, and I don't believe in ever getting the dream job. I enjoy it cause it hits all the tags I desire in a goos job. That being said nothing is worse than a job you don't like. It grinds you down and ruins you slowly. As an asmr personality you help a lot of people, you give more than you might feel you do. Potentially cutting down on the number of longer uploads, maybe just do some whispered rambles about everything and nothing to fill it up. In the end you need to at least get more 'Energy' out of your work than you spend. With a job that return Energy can be from nice comments or applause from your boss or family, or from seeing the money at start of the month. Regardless of your choice moving forward, I at least support it all the way.

Mia K Holster

People are drowning out there. I don't mean to use fear as a motivator. but the idea that anyone would consider quitting a steady gig is insane to me. Unless the gig is literally hurting you. If the only one hurting you is your brain saying you're not good enough, then I'd say don't let that brain make brash decisions. Many people would kill to be in your position. The only problem this career has is a lack of transferable skills. You can't exactly put audio hoe on a resume for an office job. If you're worried about losing subscribers or something then I'm not sure what to tell ya, as I have little experience in the artisanal patreon supported porn production line of work. However, from recent posts it seems you're swimming in it, helping your family stay afloat, so you know...I'd stick with it, personally. Sounds like a sweetheart deal. Don't let imposter syndrome get ya down, as everyone and everything in this modern world is fake as fuck. There's no point living up to a standard set by the lives of TV characters. Survive and thrive as best you can with what you got, and don't intentionally try to sink that ship. I'm personally am happy with access to your archive of stuff, even if certain new things don't appeal to me. And certain new things DO appeal to me too, so it's all good. I would say you may feel more at ease if you get some real life peeps in your corner. I know the last guy didn't work out, but that's no excuse not to keep trying. It's hard to meet people nowadays but it'll be impossible if you don't even try. Maybe join a local small sports get together? Tennis? Hiking? Nerd hobbies like card games or something? IDK, just try stuff. It warms my heart to know that you are doing my dream. Not the porn part, but the "making enough money to save myself, and the ones I love". That's really REALLY rare in this world. Seriously. Look at global stats. It's a nightmare out here. Keep fighting the good fight.

Minos

I do not comment often, however... I would be very sad if you quit voice acting. Even just the small little encouraging posts make my day a little better. Ultimately I think you should do what makes you happy, but I hope you also realize that you do bring a lot of good into peoples lives.

Zack

If you enjoy it (or at least enough compared to another job), and you are happy with your income, then I vote you continue working as a VA, if not then go for whatever job you think will make you happy. And you aren't ungrateful because you are engaged with your fans, committed to being a positive point in others' lives, and you've said you appreciate your patrons multiple times here. Thank you for being an amazingly skilled VA and a cool person :)

MisterDJ

I feel like this is the kind of thing that happens in every profession and to every professional. I'm obviously biased because I enjoy your content so much, but I don't think that you should change careers. I know that you often feel positive about having this career and what it has done for you and your family. For what it's worth, you express your gratitude often and of all the things I could say about you, I would never use the word "ungrateful." Sometimes it's tough. I'm sorry that you're in a hard patch now. But I would encourage you to keep going. What you do is good and is very much enjoyed. Have some tea, pet the dogs, walk them, and see how you feel tomorrow. If you need to scale back or even take a break, I get it. But I don't think that you should call it quits after all the hard work and time that you've put in.

Armphid

I could only recommend a job change with a clear conscious if you’re already in a safe economic situation. Also only if you already have something you’re passionate about. If you’re serious about it i would recommend doing so with a plan ahead of time and support from your loved ones.

DatStick

there is not much this one can say that hasn't been said by the others lol but You are more than good enough Your works are the best this one has heard the pinches of positivity are on somedays the only bright thing in the day :D no You are not being an ungrateful hobgoblin but it does sound like You may be nearing a burn out point maybe take a week or two off (or as much time as You need) and get some much needed rest, like leave a message "hey folks im going to be taking a break for (x ammount of time)" then take the break and don't log in here make it a full break for a little bit :D we will be here awaiting You to come back refreshed and ready :D

Lost Puppy

It sound like you are heading towards a burnout in combination with imposter syndrome. I mean, you think you are not good enough? Look at how many people you have helped and how many there are here for you. You are not just great, but you are amazing. Take a break for now and a step back to see what you truly want to do. We will support you even though we are all random people on the Internet.

UnknownToYou

My opinion doesn't matter much, but I reccomend starting a craft based business (mainly through etsy) where you can build and sell stuff. That or start working a couple hours a week at a nearby store.

John Folmer

I asked myself this question 3.5 years during my apprenticeship. But then I looked at my finished tasks and was proud to have done them. I have always asked myself these questions. Do I still enjoy it? Do others enjoy my work? Do I support them with my results that I bring them joy or something similar? Can I live well enough with it? So with me always came yes as an answer. That's why I kept going and I'm still doing it

Z3r0

I feel like a change of pace would do you some good! I mean I don’t know what’s best for you, no one but you do does. What’s the worst that can happen? You try out another job, don’t like it, and then you search for what makes you happy again. The amount of times tea has gotten me through difficult days, after days, I think it’s only right we allow Tea to find her happiness wherever that may be, and we’ll support her all the way

Reise

What matters most is your health and well-being. If you choose a different profession, we will support you 100% in your decision. It is 'your' life to live how best you see fit. I personally am always more than satisfied and grateful for the content that you provide, and think you are already doing a marvelous job as is. You could be burning yourself out, and it is okay to take a step back and recover. No matter what you choose to do, I'll keep on supporting you so long as you keep a method of payment available- you more than earn it.

Nox Nemesis

Maybe give it a go with what you feel you could do or refresh the type of work you do now. We all feel like that sometimes Tea. We will be with you always

José Zurita

If you think that's what's best for you, then do it. You could just have audios as a hobby. Instead of feeling like you need to keep cranking out content, you could just go about your personal life and release a few here and there. You've accomplished so much already, and it's perfectly fine if you let this path go. Most importantly, do what is best for you.

ColonelSanders1163

Only change jobs if you think you need too. If you are really worried, take some time off. Relax. Recharge. Let your brain refresh. You are always grateful to us. Just take some time. A job change is a serious change. It shouldn't be taken lightly. Small steps. Rest first. Then reconsider.

Thomas Herrera

So I'd like to remind you have a little over 3k patreons that follow you... You are doing great, you earned this and you are worth it. Not to mention I'm sure you have some of us that have followed you for a long time. So if you weren't worth it, I don't think you'd get this many people for this long. Then if you are afraid you aren't doing enough, take a step back, relax, then come back. Trust us you are doing great. Hope this help

FrostyPyro

Firstly, you are the farthest thing from being an ungrateful goblin. Secondly, you have and will always be top tier with your audios, few can surpass you and even fewer can equal you. I think your simply suffering from burnout. It's more than understandable. I think you should stop beating yourself up 🧡 Going into another career is always an option, but dare I ask, would a new career make you happy? If yes, then by all means. If no.... why wouldn't it? Ask yourself that anc narrow down the troubles, from there work your way up

Cup Of Earl Grey Tea

The most important thing I find is that what you do gives you a sense of accomplishment. This doesn't mean you have to be changing the world daily, but just something where you look at what you've done, or at least something you've started, and go "I'm happy with this." I'm a baker and I know I won't save the world with a cookie but I do feel a pretty sense of accomplishment when I pull something good smelling out of the oven. Try to find the thing that will make you feel like you did something impressive today and I think you will be surprised how much better you will feel about your day and your life. I used to be in the army and honestly I get more out of my baking then I ever did our of my military service.

Casey Hengstebeck

You're doing more than enough tea, your talent has enabled you to support yourself and your family. Not only that you've provided help to each and everyone of us who listen. ❤❤❤

Joe Telfer

If you feel that your mental is taking a dive from it. Then possibly consider sme options before leaving first hand. One mental is important afterall!

NecromVT

First and foremost, you are always enough and you always have been. All of us here have enjoyed your hard work, efforts, and everything you put into your audio creations. Second, your right that the idea of changing careers has to be your choice and whatever you decide we will stand with and support you. What I would suggest is taking time to consider whether or not making Audios really makes you happy and whether or not it's enough of a fulfilling dream for you. If so, then keep at it and we'll be here for the long haul. If not, do what you really want and chase every dream you have with all you've got.

Dalin

Yeah… like you said, we really have no authority in this decision. That said, you have every right to feel how you feel about your work, but from the outside looking in, I like to think “it takes a village” doesn’t stop at just children. Everyone will always need many people to sustain themselves and each other, therefore as a person who moves forward in part thanks to your work, a distant neighbor of mine you are and I’m glad I can include you in my proverbial village to lull me to sleep I otherwise wouldn’t get, or feel not so alone, and so on. In short, you are worthwhile and perfectly capable just the way you are, you’ve worked harder than you allow yourself to appreciate, we couldn’t ask more of you, but in my arrogance I’ll still ask you to recognize your immense value regardless of your decision and to not be afraid or regret the choice either. I’m sorry I can not bear the weight of your negative feelings towards yourself, or that no one can and is not doing so. You deserve to feel good about yourself, and I have no doubt you have the power to do so. Of course these are just some silly words, so if they don’t help, please don’t mind them. If they do help, I couldn’t be happier. Get well soon!

Black Jack Cat Rabbit

From my life experience, the first bit sounds kind of like imposter syndrome. As for motivation, I'm curious if it stems from creative burnout or if you are dissatisfied with your own work. Also, were you still planning on doing a YouTube channel?

Jacob

We're all goblins. Degenerate Goblins!!!

Human soon to be Stinking Helldiver

Take a break it very important step back from doing this patron everyone enjoys the audios you post and mental health is very important for a factor of life without peace there is now balance

Gethin Jones

Obviously it's gotta be your choice, which I know isn't helpful, but for my money I personally have never felt like you're not good enough. But I know depression and lack of motivation can be so damning. You've been consistently uploading for ages, even when you say you're going on a break - maybe just going on an actual, real break, not even looking at Patreon for like a week or so would do you good? Just to step back for a bit and see how you feel. I personally would love you to stay and think you're killing it, you're one of my favourite content creators. But if you feel your time is coming to an end and you have something awesome and special for you lined up, I'll be happy for you. You are more than worth every bit of income you recieve from us regular Joe Schmoes who are just thankful someone can calm and entertain us and make us feel like we aren't a waste of space.

Erin McLean

You are good enough. Not just at this job, but I imagine whatever you put your mind to. While I'm only basing the next on some things you've said, you've been told most of your life that you're not good and that you've only had your appearance going for you. That takes time to get past, no matter the lie, if told enough times over time its hard, very hard not to believe it to not let it take root, deep roots within the heart. You are more than a pretty face as your father had told you, you are intelligent, creative, talented. You're trying to move ahead when you're worn down and it seems to inviting to just stop. You're good at this job. You would be good at others. Hang on, keep moving ahead. You are very much appreciated and valued. Thank you for being a blessing to me and I'm sure to us.

NFinity

First of all I do think that you have to come to a decision by yourself. That being said, I personally am an advocate of at least trying new things. I've done a few different things, from being a farmer, call center agent, personal driver, software engineer. And currently I am in the middle of a move to a new country probably doing something new.. But that's just me, I've always struggled with depression and couldn't really "stick" to a place.. Getting bored when routine hits my life and with that I usually downspirale.. So I do what's best for me, and that's to keep moving and experience new things :) From all the people I've met so far, most where afraid of drastic change like that. But once the've joined the club they usually don't regret it. Even if it fails.. But well.. Personal Bias, Personal Bubble ;) You got to do what feels right for yourself! Best of wishes to you :) Edit: And don't worry about not being good enough, you are doing a great job! From the Audios to the pinches of positivity, and I think it shows by the community here :)

David

You have at no point not been good enough, if anything you have done an excellent job at all you do (not exaggerating). If you are having motivation, anxiety and depression issues then please take a break. As you said, we can't make this decision for you; however we will always be here to enjoy what you create. If you move away from this job then I know there are a lot of people, me included, who will support you. We don't know you well enough to do anything more, but we can say the person you are is worth supporting no matter what you choose. I would love if you kept doing what you are doing, how you talk to us and what audios you do create is so enjoyable and great to see. Just don't undersell yourself, because you are amazing, sweet and caring; that makes you someone worth being around and enjoying on personality alone. You have so much more you offer that we enjoy from you beyond that and you are doing amazing.

Funflame

You’re doing alright 🖤

June

the selfish part of me says no, obviously, but you need to do you. if i were to offer a piece of advice from one creative to another, is that i think you need to pace your releases out to give you time to recover creatively. from what ive seen it seems like you record, edit, and the release on a fast track. i try to make sure i have a backlog, sometimes that i never listen too because i know i’ll want to tinker with it and get it “perfect.” get it done, set it aside for a release, and use the time you would’ve spent being a perfectionist on your health. it helps me avoid creative burnout at least, whatever you do, i wish you great luck :)

EMP

Your the best at what you do Tea don't feel like your not doing enough because you are

Zack

I certainly appreciate you and everything you do, but I understand that wishy-washy kind of feeling. Sending you positive thoughts!

Jace Heinecke

Why notttt get a part time job in retail? To maybe feed you that motivation

Mattygee

Well, the best advice I can give is take an extended break if you need it and take inventory of your situation. Whatever you decide, we'll support it. P.S. you're not ungrateful. All the years we've been enjoying your work, you've shown how appreciative you are and vice versa.

Paladin_Frost

I appreciate the work you do and I think it's safe to say, looking at what everyone else has said that we're supporting you just as much as you want to support us. Whatever you decide to do, I know it'll be what you think is best for you.

"I keep feeling like I'm not good enough" Lady you're excellent, your content is the best content ever, worth every penny. You are such an amazing, wonderful, talented VA that I don't have enough words to describe it, you and your content are so unique Take a rest, you deserve it, and think about the whole situation carefully, then make your choice, but whatever you choose, choose something that fulfill you, and makes you feel happy, that is the most important thing. I hope that helps you, thank you Tea <3

Hmm maybe these feelings are because you feel like maybe you have the need to do something else? After working in the same thing for a long time create restless feelings which is maybe the source of your anxiety Tea. Not that im saying to stop making audios but maybe a different routine and job might help out. Of course like you said your the only one who can decide that Tea but whatever you choose we will be here supporting and helping you whenever you need it Tea. 🍵

You've done nothing but help people (including me) feel better about themselves, and I don't ever remember thinking that you've put out sub-par content. Your work is fantastic, and from the frequency of your posts it comes across that you have a work ethic like an anvil. Solid as fuck and not going anywhere, lol. Totally get where you're coming from as far as the feelings of self doubt and lack of motivation, but you know who makes me feel better about that. You. 😊 Hope this helps you feel better, we got your back Tea. 😁💜

I'm not talking often but it's now or never, I don't know you personaly Tea but i know how you still fight everyday... You know, speaking with you, even if it's just via Messages, helped me a lot to stand when i was just about to fall... Why ? Because you gave me the feeling that i was not alone and that i had someone who cared for me even if we don't know each other 🙂 I know life can be hard and feelings can be difficult to handle with... But guess what ? You're not alone ❤️❤️ You have your family (as i have seen, a mother that belive in you ❤️) and we, your community, are here too 🙂😇 You are good at VA because you like what you do ! Why would you stop if this is something that make you happy ? Sure it can be hard sometimes, you can feel like you have no inspiration, that your work is not perfect enouth.. but it's okey to feel like that sometimes, remember that feelings are a part of what tell us that we are human 🙂 And, as i know that it can be difficult to fight somedays, remember that you're not alone 🙂 Not sure if you will read that, but if you do, just know that as you did for me in the past, you can always come talk to me if you need ❤️🙂 Belive in yourself, because i and many do, and remember that life is short and must be enjoyed, all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us 😉 Wishing you the best, LittleMago

You can do whatever you desire, maybe you're not sure of what that is, and I'm not sure I can tell you either, but one thing I can say is that I love your content like the first day. Take a break if you need it, no need to push it if that is how you are feeling, but be sure that your content is as good always, if not better.

There's a really easy trick that i use when i have trouble deciding things, no matter if the decision is big or small. Flip a coin, and think about which side you want it to land on. Thats usually the thing that you want

Niklas W

At the end of the day this is your livelihood and your happiness. You have to take a step back and think if this is really what you want to continue doing. I feel that I speak for everyone when I say we absolutely love your content but if you aren't feeling satisfied from it then maybe you should atleast think about going on a long break. Your mental well-being is so important and it's okay to thing about what you really want or need. I really hope you find what you're looking for and wish you all the best

The only thing I can say is this: Take a step back and look at what you’ve done. Ask yourself if you’ve enjoyed it. Before you make any decisions on what to do next, try to answer that. And if you find that you haven’t been enjoying it, that’s okay. I think the best thing is to be objective first, then consult your emotions. But that’s me. Personally, I love your work. You’re honest and frankly brave. You talk real shit and goblin shit. Just remember that no matter what you choose, you’re loved and supported. 💜

Perrin

As shitty as it is, you’ll unfortunately encounter these emotions and feelings throughout life no matter where you go, it’s natural to be feeling like this. What matters is that you continue to do what makes you happy, whether it’s continuing this, or finding another job. Idk about everyone, but I know at least I and a few others will gladly support you no matter what you decide to do ;)

Patrick

I would recommend a break. You asked about that last week or the week before. Sometime away from the mic and script making might do you some good, even if it’s taking your mum or siblings for going’s-out.

Flux Goodra

Four days ago you were talking about how much everything was better because of the job you presently have. None of us will make you do anything you don't want to do of course, but we all hope that you don't... make YOURSELF do anything you do anything you don't actually want to do either. I hope that makes sense? Either way, it's totally your decision in the end, and we'll all support you however we can. Take care, Tea.

Blindluck92

Your stories and your craft have truly helped a lot of people over the years, me included. I hope that fact doesn't make you feel locked into doing this job, I know how it feels doing things out of kind obligation. Change is a natural and sometimes beautiful thing in life and if you're ready for a change that may take you in a different direction I say go for it. Either way I will continue to support how I can I will continue to pray for your success Tea 🙏🏽.

You are awesome at what you do. But like you say it’s up to you to decide. I really would love for you to keep doing what you are doing as it really means a lot to a lot of people. But trying out something new might also help you get some perspective on your life. I used to work in a steel mill until I by chance ended up doing a 180 turn and now I work with special needs kids… Turns out that was the best decision I ever made. Whatever you choose we support you🤗❤️

Rasmus

I think you're very good at what you do. Probably the best I've heard. What I ask myself when faced with this problem is: do I enjoy what I'm doing? More importantly, do I dislike what I'm doing? If I don't enjoy it, but I also don't dislike it, it becomes something I just do to make money and provide a means for me to do things I do enjoy. I think what you're doing, and all you have worked for is amazing. There's zero shame in taking a break and allowing yourself time to reset. Everyone can burn out even from doing something they really enjoy.

I'd suggest find something else first, then you can change. If your current state is not healthy, try to change it and maybe it will work out.

KB YoungBlood

I know this is easy to say but don't feel like you have to continue if you're not feeling comfortable. We'll support whatever decision you make. I believe you are a brilliant creator but that means I think you'll succeed in whatever career you choose. If this one comes to an end thank you for being so kind and supportive and good luck with the future. If you decide to continue I look forward to to following and supporting you for as long as you want to do this crazy job!

Alex

When I want to make big decisions like this I try to reflect on how I'm feeling and if it's the work that's making me feel bad or if it's my emotions making me think my work is bad. I do this exercise a lot as I'm in university and it's a struggle. Ultimately you gotta do what's best for you but definitely don't worry about being good enough; lots of people feel unqualified for their jobs because they compare to others but your experiences and timeline are completely different to someone else's. Having mental health struggles makes it so much harder to achieve what you want so it's so impressive what you've done :)

From my perspective your doing a great job and I would love to see you stay. So if the job is still providing the necessary amount of money you need to support yourself, it really comes down to if you enjoy what you do.

Skullamander

Honestly I feel that you need to go and find your happiness. Easier said then done I know. But if you don't have your happiness if you can't just be happy then youll never feel like what your doing is right or for that matter you'll never be happy. But idk you irl this is just what some stranger things

Timothy Shaw

I think you're amazing at your current job. Maybe you're just having a phase right now and I think having another job would add more stress to it.

Jeremy Knight

you wouldn't have patreons if you didn't do a good job. your content is good and you really do a good job, it hurts that sometimes you can't see it that way. If you don't feel comfortable doing what you do you can quit, that would be a shame but you should always put yourself first.

peanutbutterxxx

You'll figure it out Tea. But let me say you are 100% good enough. Don't listen to your brain's lies

Jmann1892

None of us would be here if we didn't think you were doing A+ work! You're easily the best Asmrist/Audio/VA person I've found, all your content is greatly appreciated.

Bennjo

We’ve followed you this far because we love your work, believe in your potential, and appreciate you as a human being. No matter what you do, we all will support you to the best of our abilities. Follow your heart Tea, you are not alone.

RelykHunter

For whats its worth, I think a lot if not all of us enjoy your work, but we'll support you whatever you decide to do.

WeissGrimoire

I can only as someone I admire and strive too be even close too your level of capability do only what’s best for you

Lockelet

I'd say find new job if you really want, do whatever you want that will give you inner peace or some sort of fulfillment. And if it helps, just keep doing this current gig until you can figure out what else you want, but there is no grand major pressure Again, the decision is all on you and your own happiness

Xora

I'd recommend a thought experiment where you no longer have your current job and try imagining how they would effect every aspect of your life. Love you Tea.💙

NearisL

We all have those feelings. Just follow your heart. If you're experiencing burnout, that's never good. I'm sure we, as a community, will support you regardless of your choice! ❤️

I love your work and really enjoy listening to your audios, but yeah you gotta do what you gotta do
