2021-07-29 02:40:52 +0000 UTCI'm not terribly sure how to put all my thoughts on the topic into words, but I can say that most of what I learned on the subject I picked up from friends on the internet either telling me excellent advice, or directing me towards good information. It's hard to get that from a teacher, not because the teacher doesn't care the same way a friend does, but because the teacher needs to teach information to everyone at once. It's good to know what you could do that would cause harm, but a friend can say to you "Hey, if this person is doing this, they are wrong for you."

2021-07-28 22:40:45 +0000 UTCIn my experience I've never had anti sex stuff. As a matter of fact having sex is mostly seen as a massive achievement to prove that you're a man. If you don't get sex you're seen as a loser. Anyone in my opinion who complains about sexual content is a hypocrite because while they sit there complaining about porn they most likely have it downloaded on their computer or phone.

2021-07-28 21:56:46 +0000 UTCOne of the biggest ironies when it comes to sex is when you have these puritanical, conservative parents who are so hard pressed into enforcing abstinence rather than sex education, it's usually their own kids that end up suffering the consequences of sex. In fact, if you look at a map of the United States that shows the rate of teen pregnancy by state, it's usually, if not always, the most conservative states in the country that have these very high rates. And if you try to present solutions to these people, like proper sex ed and better access to contraception, these people scream and shout about how abstinence needs to continue to be enforced. Thus putting them back into sqaure one. This is just something that has annoyed me to no end. Hell, even back when I had conservative leanings it annoyed me. I mean the solution is right there! USE IT!!!

None of us have the same experience, even as we're having it together. But it's very likely that we are all capable of having sex for pleasure, to show affection, to comfort, to have fun, to be playful, to destress, etc, etc. It's like any other activity, it's what you make of it. At the end of the day, it just doesn't need to create the kind of controversy that it does.

In general people aren’t very vocal about their emotions and intimate things like sex which is a shame since it is kinda due to the stereotype that’s been built up. I’m sure there are other reasons but for the life of me I can’t think of them.
