Tea, before anything else, I just wanted to say how absolutely incredibly brave you are. You not only have survived sexual trauma, threats, and hatred, but you still have the strength to take a stand and do/say what's right inspite of all that. You also are 120% right. Everyone deserves respect, help whenever they need it, and not just protection but some damn human decenty. I see logic in some of what you're saying and appreciate your insight, but I will not apologise for saying "hey, it's not fucking okay to send me or other women who voice, write, perform porn, death threats." As for an apology, I sincerely do not feel I have to apologise to anyone who would do that. I hear, see and feel a lot of the loneliness that these people might be feeling. The problem is we all feel lonely, we all feel hard done by, we all feel pain and anger and like the world has done us wrong. The difference is MOST of us don't take it out on strangers. Yes, some people are too far gone and they should be pitied, but still held to the same standard of "don't be an arsehole" just like everyone else. And if we're saying they can't be held to that standard then they need medical and police intervention. Everyone feels pain and everyone feels angry about something in their lives. But most of us know that it's up to us to take personal responsibility over that, not attack and threaten strangers. As for being “the perfect woman”, I really do not feel I project that image. I post positive things, let people know it’s okay to feel what they’re feeling, but I’m always incredibly honest that I do not find my life, the things that have happened to me, or even particularly where I’m at easy. I’ve been depressed for years, been open and honest about my struggles with sex, intimacy, anorexia, family issues, etc. I do this not only because it’s the truth, but also to show that everyone goes through shit, absolutely including people who put out positive things or create entertainment. Heck, most people who make things for other people do so because they want to see that stuff in the world. I can’t control how other people see me, but I sincerely do not project the idea of the perfect woman. There is no perfect woman and if there was it certainly wouldn’t be me. I’m honest about the pitfalls of this job, of being a person, and certainly of being myself. There is no perfect woman here. There is no hero here, there’s just someone who’s tried to do the best with what she’s been given. I, like absolutely everyone else have had to fight to get where I am, in both life and with myself. I am just as confused and unsure as every other fucker. I put out positivity because sometimes I can’t find it elsewhere and I’m not about to let myself or other people down by spiralling and blaming everyone else for my problems. I am my problem and I encourage everyone else to look at themselves in the same way. I am my problem and I’m also my solution. Not everyone will be able to see it that way. Not everyone is able to hold themselves accountable, but for those of us that can, we absolutely should. Apologies for this becoming so long, but I’ve had a lifetime of people misunderstanding me (just like everyone else) and sometimes you just need to say what you’re feeling. And what I feel is: we have no idea what people have had to overcome to get where they are, so let’s not be a dick.

The problem with fixing it is that porn is essentially selling yourself on the most intimate level possible - this leaves things in a position where you’re both the product and the producer. Some people just don’t respect the things they buy. Honestly though, I don’t care what they do. I sincerely believe that the hate comes from a place of legitimate care, as weird as that might sound. I imagine it stems from people who have had the mythical idea of sex control their lives, and everything they see is a reminder of their shortcomings. However, life being what it is, these kinds of people probably don’t have any outside coping mechanisms outside of masturbating to other people, and project the hate of their situation and despair of their likely crippling dependency on seeing other people achieve the dreams and fantasies that define their lives and the haunting feeing of inadequacy. It feels horrible to be alone, and misery loves company. These people would probably kill to be you, to be able to at least pretend to have sex in front of a microphone instead of constantly getting rejected and being lonely. I think the idea that they hate porn and the people in it isn’t the root of it - I think it’s because they *need* porn, and they *want to be* the people in it. They firmly believe that if they could just have what you have and live the life you live, they’d be perfectly happy. Obviously that isn’t happening anytime soon, so they get angry. Angry at themselves for not being attractive or charismatic or emotionally intelligent enough to have someone care about them the way they see in porn, and eventually it spirals into a hate of you and other “actors” because you are all these things in their eyes and have everything everyone else refuses to give them. You seem like the perfect woman, so I can see it being easy to develop a sense of something sinister being at play once they’re far enough gone. You post so many positive messages so often it almost comes off as cheesy sometimes, so reaching the mindset of “someone who has everything I want and acts perfect towards everyone must be lying to me”. I sincerely pity someone who is so far in their own head that they can’t even find joy in the only things that keep them going sheerly out of the fear that their own inability to find love makes them inhuman or unlovable. I don’t think telling them off will do anything but perpetuate the narrative that they can’t be loved or hold value to others. I think they deserve an apology; just a quick “I’m sorry” for rolling the dice and claiming all the things they ever wanted and leaving them empty-handed, and whatever comfort can be provided. That’s just my thoughts on it. My insight is limited, and this was just from my own personal experience with how some people cope and what hero worship can lead to. Each situation is different.

My insight on people who listen to the audioporn and watch the videos from only fans, just to spew hate and bile to the talent, these are people who usually do not love themselves and are in conflict with themselves. It's sad that instead of doing some reflection on their own issues and deal with personal demons they go after people who really not deserve that kind of hate. The one thing I can say to Tea and all the others who get hated on: the hatefull comments are usually made by people who are talking to themselves, not at you. As a man I basically grew up believing that women wanted nothing to do with sex, and have absolutely no desire for it. This is one of the reasons I believe that sex is just a bonus to the relationship. so It absolutely surprised me when alot of my female coworkers would go into great detail about their sex life.
