Day 4 Progress (3.5 Release)

Going great, What I am calling the 3.5 release for subscribers will be out by Friday.

This will including the morning(it starts early) of day 4, through lunch, both starts of Ava's 2 arcs*, and first instance of "Free roam" that is replacing sandbox that was dropped after day 1 (Completely removed from day 1 now)

And oddly enough, 2 possible sex scenes before lunch, drink some water. :) 

*start of Ava's 2 arcs. Only finished on Male route ATM. and their is a reason. I will run a poll on release to ask you guys what you think of a very specific scene. It took me 3 days just on the male scene, if its just an "eh, its ok" response, I won't waist my time and ill do it differently. Their is nearly 200 images for this one scene.

Ill fill in more about it on release.

Technical jargon

This is going to be a lot of technical crap that is only being brought up because it has one draw back, Which before we even get to that, I already have a solution.

Some of you may have noticed we miss things :) to the occasional male feet in the female route, to lines of dialog that reference something you didn't do. We have a fix, but it has a problem which is why I am talking about it.

The left is how the script has been currently written, basically through out the day it asks itself, if male, do this, if female do that, if uncle do this, if cousin do that, but ending up on the exact same lines of code at the end of the day regardless of what sex or relation you are.

This isn't inherently a bad way to handle this, but we have allot of "IF"s to the point where we are stacking allot of them. IF male, and if uncle, and if Day1AlexS, and if Day2AlexS, etc etc...

That is becoming a problem, its allot to keep track of and remember, and as some of you may have noticed, Being missed.

So, Sex and Relationships are being broken up into independent file structures as pictured on the right. Once you finish the tutorial, you will start in one of 6 completely dedicated paths to what you chose.

MU0 = Male uncle script for day 0

FC1 = Female Cousin script for day 1

etc.

This helps with allot of things honestly, but most importantly for you, more divergence in the story lines (dialog, actions, reactions, etc). Images obviously will still be the same for the most part, except for some cases where the cousin may get something the uncle or aunt wont, like Kayla's flash :), and obviously Female and Male differences.

Now the bad part. The information your save is referencing may no longer exists. But at this point, I am into day 3 on this rewrite and my saves are still working(and I have allot of them.), so you may be okay. We have consciously tried to keep your current saves working. Even though some stats may be slightly off because we are rewriting allot.

Now if you have an issue and you need to start over, a skip feature is being including in day 3.5 and 4, but will be removed in 5.

Basically as you start the tutorial, it will ask if you played before and would like to skip ahead to day 3 or 4, it will then ask you a series of questions then drop you at the start of that day.

Their is also an updated tutorial so we can drop the interruptions from 4th wall Ava between the days.
