Don't throw away anti-theft tags!

After 1½ hours of close to nothing happening in the upload, the servers woke up. Yeah!

Anti-theft tags contain some incredible science despite their low value. I will focus on their magnetism in this video, since the foil strips inside them are highly magnetic.

The combination of being low-weight and ferromagnetic makes them amazing to handle near a powerful magnet. Time for some new magnetic experiences - including a three-pole magnetic strip?

Next public video should be ready for release next Saturday, June 26th. It will feature laser pointers, ND-filters and... batteries? Remember to vote in the impromptu poll in my previous post on Patreon.

Hehe, that would get annoying over time x)

Those are what the government uses to secretly track people! Lol just kidding I remember as a kid peeling them off then putting them on a friend with out them noticing and then the alarm goes off when they left the store. 🤣😂🤣😂

I do wonder if it is possible to buy them as a consumer. I believe I could make something interesting with a large number of them :)

I did not expect to find this much fun inside something disposable. They are activated/deactivated by a weak magnetic field. Ben Krasnow has a good video on the complicated science hidden in these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAm7qAKAXwI

The next time I'm at a shop, I'll steal a box of them. They'll never expect it! j/k 😂

What fun! Now I have to go find one... I think I have a chromecast box somewhere, they had something like that stuck on them. Now I'm curious how the alarm was supposed to work, and how they are supposed to disable it. Or does your purchase of a protected item simply make the door detector turn off for a few minutes?
