The struggles of weighing a magnet | Density = Grade?

Sometimes, well... often I get some crazy ideas that I just should leave alone. This may be one of them.

I would like to test if there is any correlation between a magnet's grade and density. That would be so convenient and make it easier for anyone to test the seller's claim on a magnet's grade.

Sounds easy to test the density of a magnet, right? Not in my experience... Here's my video on it.

Tips for consistent results in the strength test, I didn't have time to include in the video (February is short!): - Place the magnets in exactly the place on the scale. Mark the spot. - Place the magnets at exactly the same distance to the plate. That is: Use the exact same spacer for each measurement. Same weight and distance. - Measure several times and switch poles between measurements. - Make sure there isn't any metal close by to affect the measurements. Even a screw or nail in the table can make a difference. - Use the same battery in the scale for all measurements. Different batteries may attract the magnet more or less. - Repeat on another day. Are the results consistent?
