Magnetic heating and cooling | Magnetocaloric Effect
Added 2020-04-30 17:47:40 +0000 UTCI'm spent... This video was originally planned to be a relatively simple and short niche video showing the magnetocaloric effect with gadolinium. But over time it expanded to be a more broad view on how magnetism can affect temperature.
It now includes a race between an induction and resistive cooker, a short explanation of how low voltage affects their performance, an animation of a refrigeration cycle using the magnetocaloric effect etc.
It ended up being one of the most editing demanding videos on my channel for years.
The final rendering alone took my computer 9½ hours. I did not expect this so it wasn't done until the middle of the night.
I may need to invest in a more modern and potent PC. All them expenses...
