Decorating Tools Mod - Testing V.1
Added 2023-07-13 11:20:36 +0000 UTCHere is the first version of my decorating tools mod! This is includes the following features -
- Shift Up and Down using Build/Buy interactions or Hotkeys
- Shift Up 10cm by pressing the right square bracket ]
- Shift Up 1cm by pressing Shift and right square bracket ]
- Shift Down 10cm by pressing the left square bracket [
- Shift Down 1cm by pressing Shift and the left square bracket ]
- Reset Height by pressing the U key.
These hotkeys will apply to the object you're currently holding with the hand tool. To access the Build/Buy interactions simply Shift+Click on the object you want to move.
PLEASE NOTE: If your object is disappearing instead of shifting up and down, press U to reset the height and try again. This often happens when cloning objects using Shift, or buying new objects. I'm not 100% sure why this happens, but reseting the height fixes it.
KNOWN ISSUES: For some reason this mod is causing the game to crash as it is quitting. It is almost unnoticable, but if you have saved any user presets or patterns in the current session, it will not be saved properly. This issue is also present in Eca's MoveObjects wth Hotkeys mod, so I think it has something to do with hotkeys. I currently can't work out why this is happening or how to fix it, so be aware!
FUTURE PLANS:
- Shift Left + Right (for wall objects mainly)
- Tilt Objects Forward, Back, Left, Right
- Move/Rotate Multiple Objects at Once
- (MAYBE!) Scaling Objects

Hi Omedapixel! desiree-uk here! I already love the idea of this mod, its like the Decoraters Friend but better :D As much as I'd love to use this, I won't install it until you can fix the hotkey issue. I'm still traumatized about the MOO hotkey mod by Eca 😄 (I was the one telling you about it on Discord) 🤭 As well as the loss of the user presets, I sometimes forget to check the 'current game' folder which will have the leftover files from the crash which will cause further crashes and more save-game corruption, so the silent crashes are a deal breaker for me. Maybe you can add a version without the hotkeys? I don't mind the Build/BuyMode interactions only version.
