I love this video fantastic

Ah that's a shame. Well there's a place up here in MN that would happily take in another resident! Just mind the cold though and you'll be aight tho. It's probably the most quiet place I know.

Rose Reaper

Aww thanks, I do have those in my storage unit but I am currently hopping from one airbnb to another and I don't have my own place, so...

Angel

Also regarding the noise problem I do have a solution! There's a 36 pack of acoustic foam panels on amazon that can help it. It comes with adhesive to place them on the walls and you can use it as a tax write off since this is your job after all. It's roughly 48 bucks but it's worth it.

Rose Reaper

Don't worry, not a lot of the background audio that isn't wanted actually made it in the final product. Thanks for providing these audios, even the experimental types of audios. It really makes dealing with my boss a lot easier.

Rose Reaper

Indeed! It's has some elements of a tragedy, but it's poignant nevertheless.

User_Unknown

Sounds like I have a new book to check out!!

Inkfeather

You're most welcome! It was one of my favorite books to read too. I loved the 1960's setting, especially the mentions of older style cars like Mustangs and Corvettes. The way Hinton handled the narration was masterfully done as well, electing to use a casual first-person perspective rather than a grammatically corect one. It added so much character to the protagonist and a personal connection to him. Not to mention, the character names were anything but forgetable. On the subject, serious question: Ponyboy, Sodapop, or Darry?

User_Unknown

I have not! Iโ€™ll be sure to check it out ๐Ÿ˜ thank you for the recommendation ๐Ÿซถ

Adrian

When you say โ€œromance and dramaโ€ the first book that comes to mind is โ€œThe Fault in our Starsโ€ if you havenโ€™t read it yet ๐Ÿ˜‰

Angel

I understand how you feel. When I was younger I also enjoyed losing myself in other worlds created by the books or ones that offered a more comforting perspective :) My apologies, I really enjoy anything related to romance and drama ๐ŸŽญ

Adrian

Thanks for the best wishes!

Peter Allen

The heater itโ€™s a vampireโ€™s best friend during winter. Take care, and stay warm. ๐Ÿค

Luna

Thank you Adrian! As a very creative and imaginative kid, I think I just always took refuge in books and literature. I am more of a novelist and a novel lover though, but I do appreciate poetry once in a while. I find it hard to recommend books without knowing anything about your taste and preferences!

Angel

I'm the same, currently have my tiny heater blasting hot air in my face ๐Ÿ˜‚ You're too kind Luna โค๏ธ

Angel

Yes you can send me your submissions on my email address (you'll find it on my YT page.) I may not read all of them but I already have a few from some other people so I might make a "patrons' special reading" soon!

Angel

Well I salute your imagination, Peter Allen ๐Ÿ˜‚ And smash those finals!

Angel

I'm glad it made you sleepy despite all the random noises ๐Ÿ˜‚

Angel

You may not comment often but your comments are always thoughtful and unique, so thank you ๐Ÿ™

Angel

Hahaha thank you!

Angel

OMG yes thank you for reminding me where I know this poem from! The Outsiders is one of my favorite books. I was actually reading it aloud in the bath a few weeks ago ๐Ÿ˜‚

Angel

A very fun and unique experience! Your reading was amazing and your voice was as soothing as ever. Thank you for always trying new things for us and for being yourself ๐Ÿซถ I personally loved hearing how you interpreted each poem and explained some of them, Iโ€™m a huge fan of hearing other peopleโ€™s thoughts and trying to understand their thought process. I was wondering, what made you take a in interest in poetry? Was it the school lessons? And do you have any recommendations for books or poetry? Iโ€™m looking to expand my little library and I have faith in your taste of literature :) PS: good luck with your move! Be safe and hopefully itโ€™s a more relaxing and work-friendly environment for you ๐Ÿฉต

Adrian

I wish you well in the move (part 2, haha). Hopefully, the environment will be more asmr-friendly. Thanks for the great reads, boss!!

Gerrit

If only more books were waterproof. Thank you for your sacrifice, Storm, and thank you for this wonderful treat. Your accent paired with the reverb of the room was almost hypnotic. It has been nearly a lifetime since I've taken a bath. It's a shame busy schedules can only fit showers. I was hoping "Nothing Gold Can Stay" would make an appearance. It reminds me of when I read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. Phenomenal book, by the way. On the subject, I was thinking about the poem's moral and realized that pure gold is non-corrosive. So, technically, things made of gold can indeed stay, it just depends on their purity. You had a good point when you were saying joy sometimes brings pain to the joyless. I imagine it can spur jealousy when some see it in others, but the inexperience of it could also bring pain. Also, I think this pain could stem from a fear of losing this joy again. Anyway, it think I have rambled long enough. Thanks for making our night a little warmer and good luck with your next move. I hope it's quieter. Stay gold! ๐ŸŒŸ

User_Unknown

That was absolutely delightful. Thank you.

I never really liked poetry as a kid. It just didnโ€™t make any sense to me. But as I got older, I learned to really appreciate it. Thereโ€™s something about a good poem that just hits you right in the soul. I hope your new place is everything youโ€™re wishing for, Storm. Not only a great place for recording but also peaceful, cozy, and the perfect spot for you to unwind. That was both fun and super entertaining, so thank you for this, Storm! Hereโ€™s hoping you avoid the dreaded pruney toes. Haha!

Riron

I usually don't comment but I gotta say that you are very different from other ASMR content creators. You seem like you do what you love. You bring part of your personality in audios like this one. I just kinda wanted to thank you for doing all of this because I really fell in love with your type of content.

Angel

I would if I had my own place!

Angel

I love this poem reading, I kind of agree with you that noise sometimes can be annoying but your voice and reading those poems it was wonderful and put me in sleepy mode which won't be the first time XD. I hope the new place is much nicer, and it's in a nice quiet location which won't force you to do the night shift recording because pulling all night at work is not fun. Glad to hear that you have manage to record some audio in advance for this month, I can't wait to hear the wonderful masterpieces you have crafted for us. Thank you for this amazing rambly and the poem reading them made me so relaxed. I wish you a wonderful rest of your day/night Storm <3

Bugiisan

I honestly thought when you first brought up this idea that it was going to be poetry that meant to be listened to while taking a bath. Regardless I will be saving this from when I return home from finals, great motivation for making it through the week!

Peter Allen

I'm really happy you ended up posting this anyways. And I'm especially glad to have your commentary. It would've been such a shame to let that remain unheard. Joy is painful when we are joyless, is honestly a profound little string of words. Thank you for it. I write poetry as a hobby. Would you ever be interested in reading aloud poetry submitted by your listeners?

Inkfeather

I absolutely love it. I feel completely immersed in this intimate moment. I got comfortable on the floor next to the heater. In the winter, I transform into some kind of vampire, taking all the warmth I can find. When you mentioned Game of Thrones, I started thinking about the dragons and the White Walkers, more specifically the Battle of Winterfell. Considering how cold it is outside, I think the White Walkers are pretty close. ๐Ÿ˜… I tried the whole evening to not cry, but listening to those amazing poems, I couldnโ€™t hold back. But I couldnโ€™t shed my tears for too long because I started laughing, so the 'leg cracking' from the last post was literally true. Iโ€™m scared of loud noises and really appreciate peace and quiet, so I definitely understand how a loud place can be overwhelming. I hope the next place you move to is much quieter, and that everything works out well there. This 'unserious' rumble/poetry reading has so much of your personal charm, making the idea even more unique. The poems you chose are absolutely beautiful, with such timeless elegance in their meaning. And your voice, like usual, is so calming, carrying so much grace, even with the background noises. This unscripted vibe is truly special. Thank you, Storm, for this soothing experience. Itโ€™s always a gift to listen to your readings, and I truly appreciate the effort you put into your work. ๐Ÿค (Sorry for my little ramble. I cut myself as short as I could, or I wouldโ€™ve ended up writing a whole novel. ๐Ÿ˜…)

Luna

Personally I kinda like the toilet flushing ambience.

Bob Mcforman

No books were drowned in the making of this audio.

Luna Rainfell

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you. ๐Ÿ˜

The Wayfaring Sword

While the concept was cute on paper, I still appreciate that calm poetry reading. Even outside of an ASMR Roleplay your voice is soothing. Thank you for giving the bath time poem reading a try.

anubis_phoenix181

Very nice! Love your accent :) If you plan on doing this again, you should look into getting a bathtub tray if you donโ€™t have one already. Might help out :P
