Invincible S01 E04 Full Length Reaction

I feel like usually when that type of storytelling is done elsewhere, the audience is fully aware of that character’s motivations unlike everyone else and is fully able to root for them, so I love that we still don’t really have any idea why he did that it’s so interesting!! OMG yessss by Ween! That song is such a banger and man that movie was one of my favouritesss growing up, I still laugh so hard all the way through that thing to this day, it has aged like a fine wine😂✨

I gotta check out Charlie Brown by Coldplay but the song Something Stupid is such a classic! I was hanging out with some friends recently and we all randomly remembered the song "Ocean Man" from the OG Spongebob movie and I have to say I have been unironically jamming out to that ever since 😂

I love being in on Nolan's secret because you're right- it makes those little conversations between him and other characters that much better!

Either way is a pretty messed up thing to do. He had to know how bad the consequences could be. There were other options. I mean, they had a Martian on Earth before. Maybe Mark would have been happy to have one come back with him. Or blend in as part of the ship. Don't allow the one thing they were trying to prevent happen with no warning. My guess would be he just naively thought once he was gone it just wouldn't matter and simply left the guy to fend for himself.

HI HI HI so sorry I didn’t comment on the last few reactions and I’m so late this week, my job has just been insanely busy recently and that paired with getting the flu real bad over the weekend I’ve just not been in the best headspace to fully enjoy these episodes I guess, but I finally caught up and I’ve got to say I really like the direction this show is going! It’s a really cool perspective to have knowing what Nolan has done while no one else does, its just makes me so uneasy to look at him all the time now😭 I think shows that can effectively utilise giving the audience more knowledge than anyone else have so much more room to create amazing tension, even just through small conversations that probably wouldn’t be half as impactful without the right content! Honestly as much as I’m enjoying all the other plot lines this show has going for it I’m just really excited to see everything unfold with Nolan yk, like Mark is gonna be freaking heartbroken when he finds out, and Debbie toooo, I think it’s gonna make for some really beautiful storytelling, until then I’m loving joining Mark on his journey of self discovery! I think you asked last episode who my favourite character was and I would definitely have to agree with you on Atom Eve! I mean HANDS DOWN she has the coolest powers, she’s got a great suit and she’s cool as all hell in person, what’s not to love! I’ve also enjoyed her struggling with doing the right thing and protecting earth or doing what she actually wants to do, I’m sure it’s really hard to be “selfish” and focus on other things when you know you have the ability to help people who would probably die otherwise. Yeah for sure my favourite and I’m just really excited to see where this show goes next😁 For my question this week I was wondering what’s your favourite song right now? I agree, that's a Martian. What I wonder now is whether it took advantage of the astronaut being Starroed, or if it CAUSED the astronaut to be Starroed in order to escape Mars.

The human that was taken over by the sequid Starro-like creatures at the end had a parasite on his head and in a bit of a trance. The one on the ship seemed to be free-thinking. They seem to need a host and with one human left behind the shape-shifter would have to be a Martian. Burka Avenger? Lol

honestly, this is one of the weakest episodes in season 1 and it's still a very good episode.

This is my second time watching the show and neither time did it occur to me that was a Martian ... I thought it was one of the Starro-1 creatures. Well, Earth does need a replacement Martian Man ... or, for Alycia, Martian Woo Man. Hey Alycia ... I liked Amber a lot more in this episode than in the previous episode. She seemed a lot more easy-going and even talked about helping out others. It's nice to see Mark actually having a good time instead of being stressed about everything that his new powers have been throwing at him. It's crazy to think that one Martian deciding they wanted to catch a ride to Earth put his entire people in harm's way almost instantaneously. I mean, that was the whole reason they were making a big deal about them being there in the first place. What did he THINK was going to happen when he secretly left a human with no protection behind with all of those sequids around?! What happened with the dragon creature? Did the air strike actually stop it or did Nolan sit there and sip his drink while it tore apart half the town? I already finished my only fun plan for the weekend today. I went with a friend to the AMC in Burbank and caught the new Venom movie. I DID get free popcorn and a drink for my birthday month, so that was a bonus. The rest of the weekend will mostly consist of sitting in front of a drawing tablet whilst British game shows more than likely play in the background -LOL

Hey Queen! I hope your week was super! (wink wink) lolz. I had an okay week until I had to my wisdom tooth pulled, which was still deep inside my gums =/ but besides that it was decent. But going back to the topic, your analysis on this episode was spot on as you put together a lot of key plot points that even I missed when watching it the first time. Great stuff Queen! ^_^ Okay big question time! I know you love to travel so I ask you this, If you had Nolans speed to fly anywhere in the world in only a couple of minutes or hours, which place you visit frequently? =]

Man there's so much stuff going on, the investigation on omni-man, that pharaoh thing in the tomb is that gonna come back or was that just a fun little one off that could have been bad but the tomb closed and that's the end of it...this weird brainalien swarm on mars are they gonna be the key to defeating omni-man? Basically I'm just thinking out loud here xD Oh yeah and robot is acting shady as hell and seems more concerned with his surveillance of let's call em the clone brothers than building/training a team, wait wait wait he took Rex's blood and he freed a bunch of cloning dudes wow I've been dense he let them out for something to do with cloning didn't he? Like I said before they did nothing else..but what the fuck does he want with Rex's blood does he want another Rex, for what? Does he want to replace Rex on the team because he thinks he's a liability or is it a darker and grander scheme? And who/what is that thing in the tank at the end, Phase 1 of what man Phase 1 of WHAT? Well maybe of starting to replace people on the team, but to what end, to sabotage them to prepare for some endgame where they can't respond because the team is just a bunch of obedient drones? I don't know but it can't be good or he would have told other people about it right? Oh man this episode brought up 500 new questions and answered like none xD Ok I gotta admit I'm really into this now at first I was sad that Invincible won but glad it won me over...god damn I have to wait another week now...HOWW..the AGONY
