You may be wondering what made these strips any worse than the ones that have run in the past. I'm not sure they are any worse, and I was going on okay until I got to this point and tried to work out what would happen next.
I tried plotting out a few different options that fit in with the original Bobbins strips. After all, in those, Holly is revealed to be quite unkind. But they all looked like they would take months -- months -- of strips to resolve.
This is the danger of improvising to fill a gap - I scamper up into the high branches of the tree, then get stuck there like a sad little cat with no fire brigade to help.
So until the day that I feel compelled to draw a further fifty Bobbins strips, these comics will remain our little secret.
They can't all be winners.

The 'traditional' way many webcomic artists deal with this sort of situation is to just quietly let their updates get further and further apart, until one day, years after the last update, the domain expires and is quickly snapped up by a seller of questionable anatomical enhancement products or the like. THANK YOU, John, for not doing that! (P.S. happy birthday!)
