Ellerbisms is(n't) back/Garf
Added 2021-10-18 19:17:56 +0000 UTCI'm supposedly on holiday from comics for a month after finishing work on Steeple volume 3. Thus far, the holiday is very tiring. I think I might just be old now. It's my 45th birthday on Wednesday, or as I like to think of it, my "half ninety".
Speaking of birthdays, I visited my friend Marc Ellerby on HIS birthday this year and drew him an all new episode of his long-defunct classic British diary comic, "Ellerbisms".
I will not be invited back for future birthdays.
When my friend Lucy turned 6 this time last year, I drew her the beautiful birthday image below:
I am definitely invited back in this case and it is easy to see why.
Ah well, time to get back to enjoying my last few precious waking hours of being 44.

2021-10-21 03:30:00 +0000 UTCI trust the first few days of 45 have proven acceptable. If I look in the rear view mirror and squint hard, I can almost credibly pretend I remember them. (Actually, I do — this time back then, I was caught up in the excitement of Obama’s first campaign for president, and still thought the Internet was the best thing evv-ahhhr.)
