Developer Diaries - Next Exit Insert Song

Hey everyone, Syon here! We have a different kind of dev diary for you today, one we haven't done before!As you know (look, I can be lazy with my writing when it's not fiction), we've been hard at work on Highway Blossoms: Next Exit, which has turned out to be a longer project than we initially anticipated, both in story scope and in assets. While it's not *technically* a sequel to HB, it's long enough to be a standalone VN. And what does every good feature-length VN need? An insert song!

For the OG Highway Blossoms, we used a little diddy called The Bear Prayer for our credits song. It was written and composed by Jake Abernathie and performed by the band Leather Tramp. Well, Jake is back! And together, me and him have collabed on the all new insert song for Next Exit. Bestowed with the song title 'Bardo Blues,' we pumped out the lyrics and composition for this song on a hot July 28th afternoon with the help of several cans of hard seltzer and hipster beer.

We ended up making enough progress on this song to record a scratch demo. Now keep in mind, this is still a rough draft, so things are subject to change. But the skeleton of the song is there as well as the lyrics. Hope you enjoy my singing, Jake's composition, and our lyrics. And most importantly, I hope you enjoy Next Exit when it releases!
