Introducing Celosia

Suppose I should make the first post for this. Everyone seeing this channel for the first time, allow me to introduce my passion and forever project, Celosia. (linked below)

Celosia is a medium/high fantasy world that I have been building for the last eight years, alongside my central character Lethia Azalea. While the google doc has lots of information on it, I've made many more documents and scribbles about other details in the world so far. Another continent with a cousin species to the duram, a civilization beyond the southern deserts where another main characters father originally hailed from. I also have a lot of history that at some point I need to make a document of itself, full of lore, origins, myths and legends. Celosia is intended to be a fairly 'young' world with a civilization I would say about as old as our own. The time period that the main story takes place is about the transitional period between the renaissance and the medieval era. Gun powder and fire arms are being developed and cultures are starting to become more intelligent and aware.

Another thing about my world and my story is that I'm trying to write it more for adults while having a kind of young adventure feel to it. To achieve this I have decided to build my world to be more sexually healthy minded. Topics like sex, gender and gender identity, orientation and so on, are far less taboo, if not even celebrated to an extent thanks in part to the two parent gods in the world, Damien and Gaia. Both gods being nature gods, so they celebrate all things natural, and the human body is very much a natural thing so it's been encouraged that it shouldn't be hidden or shamed. There are a number of adult conversations, humor and topics, but also a number of shenanigans that happen in my story which can certainly feel like young adult silly stuff.

In the end though, I just wanna make a world and a story that adults can read and enjoy, feeling like they are in a world where they can have fun like a kid again while still having an adult mindset.

I can't draw art and I don't think I should be posting the stuff I commissioned on here, so... if I could I would, but in the end I still just wish to share everything I can about my world.
