Incredible work. Children In Need always felt like a massive deal in the 80s - As a kid, I was amazed the other channels actually broadcast that night. SURELY everybody's watching? Is it even legal to watch Emmerdale instead? You're missing the BBC newsreaders singing! As a nerd, one of my favourite things about these telethons was seeing all the logos for exotic BBC local radio stations. "OMG, there's a Radio SHROPSHIRE!! Where even IS that?!" And congratulations, this video perfectly captures that classic sound which evoked memories of every 80s/90s telethon - The awkward near-silence with a bit of background hubbub in a freezing regional TV car park, shortly before the presenter realises they're on. Thank you!
