Health Update/Scheduling Changes

As alluded to at the bottom of the most recent post, Covid finally came for me, and good god, Whitty wasn't kidding. Never been so ill in my life. Every night I'm expecting to see Bobby Ball reaching his hand out from a white tunnel. I had planned to post the new Bad Blokes chapter on the 12th, but I'm putting it back at least a week. I can't edit to sufficient standard when I'm like this. It's taken 2 1/2 days to write this post. Fiction crew will still get both their chapters before the end of the month, they'll just be closer together and nearer the final week. This month's videos will be right on schedule, uploaded months in advance for this kind of eventuality.
Once I shifted to two videos a month, the only way to get everything done was to just stop having days off. I'd just passed the first anniversary of my last one, April 1st 2022. I'm not humblebragging; what else am I gonna do? Not obsessively make stuff? But in my current state of health, I've already lost a week's working time. I've always a few months in reserve, but that distance is crucial, to be able to return with fresh eyes and rewrite before publishing.
Hopefully I'll be well enough in the next few days to get back to it, but in a worst case scenario, Patreon do allow creators to take a hiatus, pausing payment for a month (or however long), so I may have to use that as an option to catch back up next month at a less frenetic pace, if I do end up losing at least couple of weeks (and depending on when I can even speak again to record voiceovers). Obviously I will keep you all informed, and announce it in a post if it comes to that. Hopefully not.
Anyway, still some great stuff coming this month. The video due the 29th is gonna be an all-timer. Thanks for your patience, my beloved Patrons. You are the wind beneath my wings.

Only just seen this as I've been away, but (as everyone else is saying) - don't pause the pledges! Patreon is for supporting creators when they need it most, so this is when you should be leaning into us more, rather than stepping away. Anyway, hope you're doing better now, and looking forward to checking out the new vid later. Cheers.

2023-04-19 10:13:59 +0000 UTCThanks for the kind words, everyone. I basically wiped out after I posted this, but have finally begun to feel better in the last couple of days. I've taken your comments into consideration regarding what to do about next month (which really lessened my stress about it), and I'll be posting a poll at the weekend with a couple of options, the result of which I will abide by. Fighting Fantasy style, YOU DECIDE MY FATE! New video coming tonight.

2023-04-18 11:21:43 +0000 UTCDon't pause payments. Take your time and get better. You are allowed to be sick. I doubt a single one of your Patreons would begrudge you this basic human right.

2023-04-14 22:03:02 +0000 UTCGlad everyone else is saying it too—don't pause pledges, you maniac, take your bloody sick pay. And if you need a second pair of eyes on something, I know an editor who'll swap you notes for access to stories not otherwise paid for (it's me)
