I’m so glad to hear that there will be more read throughs! I know you are not there yet, but, chapter 363 drops this coming Friday! I can’t wait! So..... we have come full circle now! Actually we will shoot just past it soon. Yes, that cute little blob is his child. That is why it’s the only demon that he freaks out over. If you re-read the early chapters, it never harms him. It only wants to be close to him. Now Guts dreamt about it, but that’s different. The little demon baby will also tell his parents truths that they may not want to acknowledge, for example Vargas.... the little scamp! Kids! Talking back to their parents! So, yes, this little guy started out normal, then got corrupted by Griffith. Basically it had three parents in the end. That’s a fucked up love triangle. I think you’re comments about the child were spot on! I’m so glad we are now into the Lost Children chapters. Not everyone likes this section, I personally love Lost Child. We are going to jump around time wise here a bit. Guts is away for two yrs.... we see the Holy Iron Chain Knights right after the Hawks get slaughtered. They know what is prophesied in their holy books..... I will leave it there. These Knights will be on the move for ....a while. But when we see Guts in the forest, that is actually a bit latter on, yrs? 1 and a half yrs later? 2 yrs later? Something like that. We meet a few new characters as well! I won’t tell you anything about them.... for now. The Conviction arc is a fave! It has its issues, but the story really morphs into some deeper issues of the human condition. Looking forward to more readings!
