New Project Announcement

Big announcement time!

It was around this time last year that I started posting String, and the amount of support and feedback I’ve received is stunning. Seriously, I can’t thank you guys enough for reading. I look forward to posting every week and I will continue to do so until String’s conclusion.

That being said, I’ve had ideas swimming around my head for quite some time now, and one in particular has stuck. I’ve been slowly ironing out the details about the world and story with my friends for the last five or six months, and I’ve dabbled in writing a few chapters. I’m glad to say that I’m ready to release the first chapter as a ‘Teaser’ of what’s to come.

This series won’t be written like String. I’m aiming for a more traditional book format, as my goal is to eventually put this series on Kindle. I will be writing and posting drafted chapters when they are edited and ready, but until each book is wholly complete with each chapter written out, chapters will be subject to change.

Once completed, the books will be posted to Royal Road, and when there’s sufficient backlog, stubbed to Kindle.

So, what exactly is this new series?

Below is a synopsis of the first book.

Mysteria: Book I – The Unholy One

Mercidia Oathkeeper. An Empty Child. One of the Cursed Children. After a catastrophic ritual leaves her with an Origin without an Affinity, she is unable to learn any of the magical gifts bestowed upon humanity. 

At her most desperate hour, she flees her home, stumbling upon a buried Relic within a crypt. The tragic soul captured within reveals the true nature of the world, casting away the wool that’s been pulled over her eyes. Old, ancient evils are rising and returning to Mysteria, and Mercidia seems to be the only one who sees whose shadow looms over the world.

The only way to survive is to climb higher than anyone has ever dared.

So! What to expect from this series?

‘Mysteria’ will be a Cultivation, Progression Fantasy series with various traditional fantasy elements thrown in to mix things up. I will be working with a female protagonist, and following a ‘weak to very, VERY strong’ motif through the course of the series. If this is up your alley and you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I’ll be more than willing to answer any questions you guys might have.

I will clarify that the development of this series will not impact String’s update schedule, so if you are ONLY here for String, don’t stress. Things shouldn’t change on that front.

The development of Mysteria will also only be available to the Madhouse Tier. 

The teaser will be posted tomorrow. After that, there will be some time before the next chapter.
