We hope you’re waking up to a lovely day that looks to be full of relaxing and celebration! So far our Thanksgiving looks a little like this…Jeremiah got going at around 0600. He started prepping the boat to continue south, we pulled the anchor up at 0700. We had been anchored just outside of Merritt Island where we had a very relaxing night filled with a beautiful sunset, pretty birds and a game night with the kids. Right now we’re motoring south at about 7knts, we plan to travel just about 52 nautical miles today to our next anchorage. We’re hoping to drop anchor between 1500 (3pm) and 1600 (4pm) today as long as we aren’t waiting on draw bridges for too long!
I plan to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner along this leg of our trip which should be really neat! This will be the first time I’ve ever cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner on a boat. We had Thanksgiving on the Lazy Gecko but not like this! I’ll make the traditional turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cream corn, gravy and cranberry sauce. We’re also going to try and stream the a Thanksgiving Day Parade for the kids to enjoy!! Actually I love those too!
I hope to hear back from some of you about your Thanksgiving Day plans!! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
Love,
Brittany
