Are we off the Antares yet?!

Hello awesome Patrons!

First, here's a little preview to the next season of LGS which will start after the next episode....We're so excited for all the new fun we get into during this part of our journey. One final Season 3 episode though where we get into the details of selling a boat without a broker and the finance stuff...Then Season 4 will be in full swing! If you rate a code for Season 1-3 then you'll get one for Season 4 as well! The season isn't active yet so there are no codes to give quite yet but now you know they're coming!

As far as getting off the Antares...Why of course we did but it sure was hard! Our trip began on January 10th as we arrived in Palm Coast, Florida. We had no idea what we were in for…It all began with a ton of maintenance, it seemed as though everything was going wrong or breaking just before our departure date. The boat had been sitting in a marina for years and that causes issues.

We had engine trouble with both the dinghy and starboard engine along with getting the water maker up and running. We were able to get everything taken care of (kind of) except the water maker, we departed on the 13th of January which was 2 days behind schedule. I must mention that the starboard engine did hiccup and decided not to start once again on the morning of our departure, after everything so far we figured this boat was about to take us for quite a ride! However, we got it started and made our departure.

Our spirits were high and we were ready to roll! We stayed 4 nights on the hook without using the unreliable and untested dinghy engine, since we were worried that it wouldn’t bring us back to the boat without the engine dying along the way. Have you ever had to paddle a dinghy before?! We have and it isn’t fun at all especially with a 2 year old aboard so we opted to just float on the amazing platform that we had, this Antares 44i. We did get the dinghy out later in the trip though and it worked out! Jeremiah is awesome with engines...He makes them purrrrrr....Even my engine lol Ok back to the point!

The plan was to pull into Fort Lauderdale along the way so we could get our water maker running, just as we were about to go under our last draw bridge, which just happened to be in a very busy section of the ICW, our starboard engine gave out once again. Actually it got stuck in reverse! Throttle either way and you're going backwards! That was rather scary as we almost hit the yacht behind us. It worked out though and you'll see the fun involved once the videos are completed!

More to come!!
