What the heck?!?!

Hello beautiful Patrons!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm still working with Patreon about the lack of my ability to reply to comments left on this site. I have no idea what's up and they keep pointing at my browser...Even though it isn't working on that or two separate phones. :-/ It's not my browser.

Anyway, I'll keep up the good fight! I just wanted to give you an update.

Another update on the boat! We've accepted an offer and deposit on the Gecko and we're planning the process of completing the survey and sea trial next week. I must say that all that is easier said then done. We gave the buyers 3 options, they are as follows.

1. Take the boat for asking price which is $45k, upon completion of survey and sea trial they'll be afforded the opportunity to negotiate a lower price if something arises.

2.  We drop the price to $42.5k and they will NOT be afforded the opportunity to negotiate after completion of the survey and sea trial.

3. We drop the price to $40k and they take the boat as is. (This is what we would have liked to do so we didn't have to fly across the country, stay in hotels, rent a car, etc. This would save us time, money and the stressful hassle of all the moving parts.)

However, the buyers chose to go with option 2, which is still good for us as we know the Gecko is a great boat and they will take her unless they are crazy lol. They know there's no option to drop the price so there shouldn't be any back and forth stuff or nickel and diming....But we will see!

Where are we now? Well, we've booked our flights, hotels and rental car so we're packing/preparing for the trip!! Once we get to Florida we plan to splash the Gecko before the survey and sea trial to make sure everything is in working order.

On Thursday of next week we should complete the survey and sea trial so hopefully she will be bought and paid for by Friday. This is bittersweet to us as we've thought of every reason to not sell her. No matter where we are in the boat buying process she still feels like home to us. Even though tears fill my eyes as I write this I know it's time for us to move on to a larger boat for our growing family (no, I'm not pregnant!).

She has been nothing but wonderful to us as she carried us safely through the seas from place to place during our travels. We will forever love her and hold our memories with her near and dear to our hearts.

Maybe we will just keep her instead lol

Love you!

Brittany
