A little update!

Hello all my lovely Patrons!

So here we are! Departed and cruising along! It's an amazing feeling and I hope that we can share it with you vividly!

Today we sucessfully launched and recovered Fiesta from the bow. It was pretty windy...about 6 knots up and down. She moved a bit once in the air but it was really only noticable when she was taking off and then coming in for a landing.

The footage is so cool! We need to get better at flying it but we got some cool footage today. This anchorage is along the ICW and it's stunning. The area is marked on the charts at about 5.9 feet but it's commonly known to have 8 feet, thats exactly what we're showing on our depth sounder! The tide swing isn't too great either.

Another cool part is that the anchorage is large enough for hundreds of boats but we are the only ones here tonight! Its just beautiful!

We wish each of you were here with us! In case you're curious, we are using our hot spot on our phones to get internet.

Love,

Brittany and Jeremiah

Whoop whoop! It's awesome! I would imagine rocking would cause it to not launch. Fiesta is going for another flight tomorrow as along as the weather is good! A distant one!

Hey Geckos! Fiesta is flying! That's so great. Unfortunately Pablo didn't seem to want to launch from the boat while underway to Mexico (but we were really rocking and swaying). I just tried recently (on land) launching and landing by hand, not knowing whether that would work, but it did. Just hold your palms flat while the pilot launches and grip the drone's feet hard until the pilot kills the engine. I thought that might work well for launching/landing from the boat in case you guys have trouble trying to get footage under sail (which is of course what we all want - ha! Boat lovers, everyone one of us!). Good luck out there! We can't wait to see the footage and we're all so proud of you two. You're not chasing the dream anymore. You're living it!

It is absolutely amazing Todd! We've come so far in learning our boat and it has only made this journey more enjoyable! We are so happy that we took the time to really get to know her before we took off for our cruising life! We do use Spot for our Patrons but we are on the fence when we will start it back up...Only because we have had some things pop up that made us feel uneasy about putting out where we are. We will start it back up in the future for sure :)

Must be so exciting to see your dreams and work turning into reality !! A map and occasional pin of your location on your blog would be great to better follow along. Very happy for you all.
