Getting across the bridge is no joke. We had left our marina card in the boat and you need to show ID with an address that's in the area in order to cross the bridge. Ours aren't from here. We were finally able to get over by using a texted photo of our bill that our Harbormaster sent us. The marina boats did pretty well. A few boats received minor damage while the walkways received a bit more. The winds in the marina were at 80 sustained during the storm, overall we're very pleased with how it went! The boat seems to be in the same condition it was when we left...a secure disaster haha. So we've rented a small storage unit from a place that allows you to use their truck to move in and we plan to place all of the items that we'd like to stow (sails, generators, etc) there. Just in case we get another hurricane between now and when we leave. A great thing is that the boat is bare bones! We're focused on cleaning and getting small repairs done while she is. Which is exactly what we need to do. Trees are all over the place, signs are laying on the ground, quite a few homes have sections of their roofs missing and we've noticed that a lot of the people around the area are in just terrible moods. We hope everyone gets back on their feet quickly. Off to get the boat up and running again!
