Character Commission Preview: Karina
Added 2024-11-15 00:20:39 +0000 UTCThis latest commission has me making yet another member of Aespa, this time Karina! I don't really follow Kpop, but these girls sure are popular huh? As always, I think there are some definite limitations in terms of what kinds of aesthetics are possible in HS2, especially when attempting to recreate real people. Additionally, making girls from Kpop is especially difficult since they have SO many different types of makeup, outfits, hairstyles, etc... It's nearly impossible to recreate them. For this commission, I was provided this photo for the outfit inspiration:
Which I think I did a pretty good job of! Granted, it was quite a simple outfit for which I was thankful. For the hairstyle and face, I was provided photos from this set of photos on her IG, making use of the bun + bangs hairstyle! This was a bit harder to recreate, especially with all the little nuances and wisps which change with every single angle and photo. But overall, I'm happy with the result so I'm now releasing her card for patrons.
