I am an accountant, and one of our clients was a super grumpy but very rich old guy. He came in to the office to discuss his accounts with one of the partners and during the meeting mentioned his car seemed to smell of burning plastic. That partner then called me and said 'hey you know how to fix stuff, go have a look at Mr X car please '. So I'm in the car park in absolutely torrential rain, wearing a suit while underneath this guy's car and exactly as you said, a big plastic bag had melted to the exhaust silencer. I ripped it all off, and went back into the office soaking wet, but from then on I was the only person that he wanted to talk to and got me a nice promotion.

That was my only question. :) And yes indeed Claire Grogan there from Altered Images. Go check out her famous 'Happy Birthday' song. Are you aware of Ardal's other series called 'My Hero'? Where he plays a superhero? :) It's a Brit comedy too.

2025-05-09 01:12:54 +0000 UTCErm, there is no way for a bag to be sucked into an exhaust pipe. As it's name suggests, it blows, it does not suck. More likely a bag got wrapped around the pipe close to the exhaust manifold and melted when the engine got hot. Used to have a massive crush on Claire Grogan. Not sure why they chose a Scot to be an Irish singer (especially one with such a terrible Irish accent, it must be said) but nice to see her again 💘😁 I could have sworn I was hearing Kitana in stereo then - the purr went from left to right in my headphones. Alternately, I may just be very, very, tired...
